He was ranked at #10. He finished 2010 ranked #10 by the RING, dropping from where he was after 2009 because he'd losto to Dirrell and Froch. Than he fought Ward in Early 2011. He was #10.

Ward's resume through 25 fights is excellent. I simply don't know who Calzaghe fought in his 1st 25 fights but I can't see how it could be better than Ward's.
He fought Chris Eubank in his 22nd fight I believe. Although he was not at his peak, he's better than anyone Ward has fought thus far.

Its a shame Calzaghe couldn't really capitalise on that win, his division was simply bereft of talent

I'll probably get called a "hater" or whatever but Im gonna come out and say it, Ward's resume is being severely overrated on these forums just because he won the Super Six.

Sven Ottke also never wanted to fight Joe, that would have been a big win.

Well then, must have been by default or something No way in hell should AA been ranked top 10 at any point.

              Everyone that knows boxing disagrees.

Or do you think Froch is a better fighter than Hopkins?

No one's calling it the GOAT at all, and I'd say Joe's resume RIGHT NOW is ahead of Ward's. But Andre is only 25 fights in and already has wins over Kessler, Green, Bika, Abraham, and Froch, all top 10 SMW's going in. He'll probably surpass Joe eventually, if he fights the right fights of course. I don't ee anyone beating Ward from 168-175, and there's a lot of good fights there to be made in the next 5-6 years.

Joe does get a bad rep for some reason on here though, he's went from crazy overrated while he was fighting to vastly underrated now, it's crazy.

He said after 25 fights and it is true that after 25 fights, Ward has a better resume but its not as great as some are making it out to be.

You must think he was a bum or something. The guy did beat Miranda when he could still fight, and Taylor. Also, Ward had to fight him, they were still in the Super Six. It wasn't a terrible win or anything, it was on par with a lot of Joe's title defenses that he had.

Taylor and Miranda did nothing at 168 to be ranked there, either. I feel the same for Abraham.

I get it, it's because he was in the tourney, but that doesn't make it accurate IMO
