Which goes back to my original point. It is wrong and just because Hoya took advantage (and according to your standards he should have taken more advantages), does not mean Pac had the right to take advantage over Cotto who was the "paper" champ. Do you pity that the paper champ Cotto shouldn't have given into the Manny's negotiation leverage?

Boxing is a crude business, but that doesn't mean you have to agree with what goes on. Its why MMA is making boxing a laughing joke. You don't see that bullshyt in that noob of a sport now do you?

Many things are wrong with boxing and negotiation leverage is just one of them. You obviously condone it especially if it suits your agenda. Most pac fans agree with leverages as all of the titles Pac has won since moving up from JWW involve such.
nope. i didn't say i approve. i merely stated that it was a waste of effort in dela hoya's part for arranging all those advantages in his favor and not putting it to full use.

you actually think i wanted dela hoya to win over manny?

and i don't watch MMA, so i can't comment on it.

its obvious that your agenda is to hate on Manny and his fans. at first it was "double standards" which you attributed to pac fans when in truth, most fighters have their share of fans with double standards. the more popular the fighter, the more numerous their totally biased fans.

    now its negotiation leverage.

what planet are you living in? heck, EVEN FLOYD DOES IT.

its rather rare for top fighters not to use their leverage in negotiations, whether its in weight stipulation or fight purse. if you hate on it so much, you might as well stop watching boxing til basic human nature changes dude.

and for the record, i would have preferred that manny fought cotto at 147 and never touched the catchweights. but i don't gripe about it.

i would have preferred that floyd didn't fight marquez at catchweight either, but at 140 at least to have given him a fair fight.

but i don't gripe about that either.

same thing with manny/marquez III. should have been at 140.

but if complaining about such things is your thing, then go ahead man.

things simply didn't go as planned for team Pac that time and they thus move on to the next challenge.
It's not just the Marquez fight. He didn't have that killer instinct against Margarito or Mosley either. It's understandable, dude's made so much money and is now a Congressman and all that, but it still sucks.

with margarito, manny actually had to hold back starting round 10 and kept on signalling the ref to stop the fight.

on mosley's case, manny COULDN'T fight since mosley spent most of the fight on a bicycle. (really, REALLY crappy fight btw)

that's why i'm hoping for a may/manny fight this 2012. i know its reaching, but hey, there's nothing wrong with hoping for something great right?

My grip is not only double standards. It's that MMA is becoming more popular than boxing because it does not have fighters that negotiate to get all these leverages amongst other things.

I like MMA but not like I love boxing and its sad to see the road boxing is going down and has been going down and you accept it yet years ago when Floyd was doing it, it was a disgrace. it's no more a disgrace now than it was then.

Also I never approved Mayweather's fight vs JMM. In fact I hated it and didn't pay to see it. It's not just about Pac. However he is one of the most popular fighters in the sport and he is doing it more than anyone else with all his catchweight title fights. Its a disgrace, much like Mayweather (and Pac) fighting JMM at WW.

I would not be surprised to see Manny win that fight, but I wouldn't say I'm expecting it. I've been behind him for 2 years during all these arguments, so I'm not going to change my mind now.

Hopefully Floyd would wake Pac up and inspire the type of performance I know he's capable of.

Pacquiao stated..... " I will fight anyone at 150 "

Pacquiao is an ex JMW champ.

              Pacquiao fought for Sergio's title.

But Pacquiao will not fight Sergio.

Looks to me like..... Pacquiao is nothing but a PU55Y !!

you know that as soon as manny molly whops and destroys sergio the haters will come in and claim manny only woned because sergio was weight drained !!!!!!! just look at the facts from an unbiased boxing fans point of veiw!!!!!!!

manny wrecked shop on cotto ..... manny haters claimed the fight wasd bogus because cotto was weight drained even though his previous fight was at 146

when manny abused delahoya the tran***ual .... manny haters said that fight was fixxed because delahoya came down to a weight that HE WANTEd while manny had to move up from 135 for the first time!!!!! by the way that just shows you how much more superior manny is too the piss drinker

manny met margarita at 15o (169 fight nght weightt) .... manny haters dont even want to acnolladge that manny was at a signifiicant disadvantage !!!!!!!

truth is if the bike rider came down to 150 and manny beat him the escuses would come like christmas eve !!!!!!!!!

Mark my words man. As soon as MMA becomes as popular and generates as much money as boxing, it will develop the same issues as boxing. It's an inevitable path of human nature. So enjoy MMA while you can cuz it won't remain that way.

I give you credit though. At least you're bashing even Floyd for going against what you consider as fair.

Well with one dude running the company I can't see it getting as bad as boxing at least not any time soon. I wouldn't say I "enjoy" MMA... However I enjoy the little boxing that is displayed every so often.

Boxing needs a change and I liked the Super Six idea which helps keep a lot of the leverages out of it even though home court advantages still became in issue. However that is inevitable.

Come on man! Freddie Roach said that Pac would get Marquez out by the 6th and Ariza said that God couldn't stop the beating coming to Marquez and Pac said it was personal. Don't want to hear that excuse that he didn't have the hunger because all of JMM/Pac fights have been close for YEARS but this time Marquez camr prepared and didn't fight Pac's fight and that's why Pac didn't have no dominant moments.
