@Scott....are you sure about that mate, Turkish food is the home of the dreaded Kebab, rich hummus and some very fatty and savoury, deep firied pastries and naughty dips I think that they'll have to fly Solis in very late for this one...before he smells the delicious, bad boy street snacks.

Andy Ruiz - back soon, maybe on the Pacquaio-Bradley PPV?
Amir Mansour - maybe on the March 15 Main Events NBC card?
Robert Helenius - supposed to be back in March or April, but I don't know
Alexander Dimitrenko - in limbo, doesn't really want to fight anymore
Ruslan Chagaev - doesn't seem to want to fight any more
          Jonathon Banks - full-time trainer

Luis Ortiz-Ruslan Chagaev was discussed, but nothing has come of it.

Lucas Browne is also looking for a fight.

Alex Leapai says Wladimir Klitschko'just another fight'

Australian underdog Alex Leapai says he's treating his historic shot at world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko as 'nothing special', insisting it's simply another fight on the road towards his boxing destiny.

There were any number of rugby stars and well-known sporting faces ringside at Anthony Mundine's fight night in Brisbane on Wednesday. Among them was a relaxed Leapai, who posed with fight fans and took in proceedings before his April 26 date in Germany against the undisputed world champion.

The giant Ukrainian (61-3) has ruled the division with an iron fist for a decade but Leapai, a 34-year-old Samoan-Australian battler with a 30-4 record, feels he can produce what would surely be one of the great upsets in the sport.

The final details of what has been billed as one of the most important bouts in Australian boxing history are yet to be finalised but Leapai, known as 'The Lionheart', stands to bank $1.5 million, win, lose or draw. But he says his trek up the heavyweight ranks has never been about money.

Deontay Wilder to get WBC title shot with win on March 15

Just one fight stands between Tuscaloosa's Deontay Wilder and a shot the World Boxing Council heavyweight title.

That final hurdle was made official as Wilder, a 2008 Olympic bronze medalist, will fight 33-year-old Malik Scott in Puerto Rico on March 15.

Richard Schaefer, CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, which represents Wilder, told The Tuscaloosa News that the WBC has made the Wilder-Scott fight a title eliminator, meaning the winner will get a mandatory shot at the WBC title.

The WBC's No. 1 and No. 2 contenders, Bermane Stiverne and Chris Arreola, will fight for the vacant WBC title, although the date and location have not been set yet. Schaefer said the winner will then fight the Wilder-Scott winner as the champion's first mandatory title defense. The WBC title was vacated by Vitali Klitschko earlier this month.

"The winner of this fight here will be the next mandatory for the winner of Arreola-Stiverne" Schaefer said. "The WBC rules stipulate that when two fighters fight for a vacant title, they will have to do an immediate mandatory and the winner of Deontay Wilder and Malik Scott will be that mandatory.

"So that's why I say there's a lot riding on this fight for each guy because they will have a guaranteed world title shot."

Wilder was excited to hear that so much will be riding on the outcome.

"I said 2014 was going to be a great year for me," Wilder said. "Now (the possible title shot) is just more pudding on the cake. It's great, man."
