khan is susceptible to uppercuts and rios loves to throw them but, apart from that, i don't give him much of a chance. he moves slower than maidana to me and plods forward an inch at a time with no defense. maidana has the quick feet and subtle movements that kept khan under pressure but rios? he'll get overwhelmed.

Freddie Roach: Amir Khan will expose Brandon Rios at 140. I definitely want to see that fight. I want Amir to stay at 140 and beat Rios just for me. Brandon Rios made fun of me before with my Parkinson’s, and even though it was funny, I feel I was disrespected. Brandon is an exchange fighter. He doesn’t even know how to throw a feint, he has no game plan and you can tell. The fight the other night was just two guys in a ring swinging at each other. It was a good fight to watch. There was a lot of action with no skill. It seems as if his coach isn’t teaching him any skill. The same thing goes for Margarito; he follows Cotto all around the ring without cutting the ring off. I mean that is a fundamental skill in boxing. Amir Khan would destroy Brandon Rios. We’ll take that fight!

LMFAO @ Roach still mad about Bam Bam fuckin with him.

Yes, Brandon lacks skill but Khan lacks heart and has no chin!

        War Bam Bam!

        Get it done!

          waste of time

there is only one challenge left for Khan at 140, and that's Bradley

if no Bradley, he should just move up

It's not an essential fight for Khan but I wouldn't call it a waste of time

A relentless puncher vs Khan is always compelling

Khan will likely move up though

rios is the most overrated boxer right now and everything roach said is what i've been saying all along, the guy has zero fundamental skills, zero defense.. amir khan would destroy him...

also rios, to me, has never given an honest apology about making fun of roach's disease, that was a low blow but it told me alot about rios's chracter

even though i'd like to see rios shatter khan's chin into bits, not personal hate just knowing khan could possibly be stopped again like in the prescott fight, there's a good chance this fight plays out like maidana/khan. i do agree with the joke coach roach about garcia's fighters (rios & margs) about not knowing how to cut the ring off from their opponents, and them lacking defense. rios needs to work on that before trying to get at khan. even then though, i don't see arum rushing to make this as well as khan wanting it. someone interview both of them (khan & rios) about this interview, i'd love to hear what they have to say about it.

Would be a good fight but could Rios weather the storm to crack Khan's chin?
I don't know about that? Like Roach says Rios is terrible technically and depends on his toughness and KO power. What happens if Khan is too fast and boxes too well for Rios?

Khan its too good for Rios.

It could become a war in some of the late rounds if rios can take the early punshiment.

But even if it becomes a war i would favor khan.

Better legs, faster punches, better balance ... better everything ... maybe except for chin.

Roach didn't see any skill in Rios, really? Even though Brandon was at 60% I still saw a lot of skill. Freddie better expect a much better Rios at 140 too, and I'd also love that fight. You know, considering how good Peterson is in the inside, Khan's next fight may be a good barometer as to how good Rios would do.
