Comments Thread For: Bob Arum: I Want To Do Cotto vs. Chavez Clash in MSG

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum already has another huge fight in mind for 2012. On Saturday night at New York's Madison Square Garden, WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (36-2, 29 KOs) retained his title with a tenth round technical knockout over Antonio Margarito (38-7, 27 KOs). At the start of the tenth round, the ringside doctors stopped the contest after concluding that Margarito's right eye was swollen shut and too severly damaged to allow him to continue.

piss of bob. . . cotto is done with you. . . he might come back and fight with you for one fight against chavez. . . BUT MAYWEATHER IS NEXT. . . mark my words. . . if pacquiao/mayweather doesn't happen, COTTO WILL BE the opponent on may 5th. .

i been saying it forever. . . it makes so much more sense (financially) for mayweather than anybody else. . . definitely the biggest B-side for May out there. . . seeing how against Pac, FLOYD WOULD BE THE B-SIDE

nah, he should just stay a free agent, and negotiate "one fight deals" with different promotors at a time. . . he's big enough where he can put down the up front money required to promote himself. . .

co-promote his fight with GBP against mayweather next. . . and then come back and co-promote with arum for chavez. . .

forget canelo - cotto should go for the 160 belt BUT AFTER FLOYD
