Of course he quit in the first fight but it was the right thing to do. Unlike that ****** Margarito, Miguel is in good health and will have a life outside of boxing. Margarito on the other hand is an idiot and thinks it's "cool" to die in the ring. Now he had a very bad eye and will probably be blinded after Saturday night. Here's to you "tough guy".

Cotto actually gave it his all until he had nothing left, so although he got out of the fight, I wouldn't label him as a quitter. Very few try to go beyond their bodies' limitation, which is commendable, Gatti, Corrales, Margarito but not everyone has that much heart.
A quitter is someone like Acelino Freitas, Zab Judah, Cintron, Victor Ortiz, Junior Witter, those guys.

Shame on Shane for taking steroids, but I don't think De La Hoya's life was ever on the line because he used performance enhancing drugs.
Getting hit with Plaster >>>>>>>>> doing roids.. when it comes to what's dangerous.

Margarito on the other hand is a Real Man?who is willing to do what it takes to win. That is the masculine approach. Something you know nothing about. You probably get tattoo's after your wife smacks you around too.
Like Cotto did when Tony smashed him.

Cotto quit but it's not like he quit as soon as things got tough.
He went alot of tough rounds with Margarito and was physically and mentally worn down by that point.
Quitting was his best option at that moment and he took it otherwise he would of got ko'd and would of had to take even more unnecessary punishment.
I don't agree with quitting in this sport like Devon did against Bradley, etc but what Cotto did was the right move.
Some fans forget that this is a sport, not a fight to the death.

I saw the fight, there was no controversy. The idea that Tony somehow cheated Cotto simply because you "feel" like its true is also a feminine trait.
Allowing your primitive emotions to dictate your pov in the absence of no factual evidence.
