    Canelo is a DANGEROUS fight.

People here think he is overrated but the dude is a prodigy.

He is fast for his size and packs a huge punch. Smart as well. He isn't your typical mexican boxer, that is for sure. Very dangerous fight if Mayweather takes it.

Morales would just get completely owned and look dumb founded that he can't even touch Mayweather.

I would love to see see Floyd fight Saul Alvarez.....in May 2013 after Floyd has fought Pac-Khan-Martinez or any combination of them, and after Alvarez has beaten someone like Cotto, Lara, Kirkland, etc.
      Exactly...Not next.

The fight ain't happening next. But, no one should excuse that fight if by some miracle it got made next.

Whoever Floyd fights next will have tons of momentum behind them...Meaning they will be coming off impressive wins or KO wins. That has been his trend post Judah.

Floyd is fighting Canelo on May 5th and fighting Khan later in the year around the fall. Remember who told you this first.

Some of you guys make me laugh... you complain about Canelo not fighting the best, but when he wants to fight the best boxer in the world, you say he's not ready. Right now Canelo beats guys like Cotto, Margacheato, Mosley, Clottey, etc.

I will say it again:I have big respect for those two true warriors for stepping up and openly saying that they want to fight Mayweather. I bet if the promotor told them that they wouldn't make the fight then they would tell the promotor to take a hike. When a fighter REALLY wants a fight to be made and that fighter has some clout, they make sure the fight gets made. We saw JMM walk away from G.B.P to make sure that he got his 3rd fight against Pacquiao. Now Manny needs to follow suit and tell Arum that he really wants this fight and is not interested in any other fight right now. Likewise, Floyd who has said many times that he is his own man, a free agent, self promoted fighter etc.etc, needs to publically come out and say that he too wants to make this fight next and isn't interested in any other fight at this time. That way we aren't all being taken for yet another ride and round of bulls^it negotiations.

But, as of right now. Garbage, that fight is garbage. I wouldn't be surprised if the winner of Marg-Cotto would beat him. He's not ready.
Because I think Alvarez puts up a fight better than anyone else at WW or JMW (not counting Martinez).

He's not garbage, just green. He is not ready but if it was made he would have advantages over Floyd with his power and size.

The winner of Cotto/Marg would be great fight for Alvarez but I think he beats both because both them guys are washed up.

Alvarez in a few years will be something to look out for and is not ready for Floyd but hell not too many fighters are. If no Pac I would like to see him fight Martinez, but that wouldn't hold weight post fight as people will say Martinez was 187 years old......

At the end of the day, no matter who Floyd fights it will be bashed. That's just how it is...

              - Pac: too small and washed up
              - Martinez: old and looked like ****
              - Khan: JWW and too small, didn't beat him at his "best weight"
              - Alvarez: too green, too slow too this and too that

There are better fights out there than Alvarez...Khan is better...If he fights, Alvarez, which he won't but if he does. He would deserve every single criticism he gets. Every single criticism and then some for fighting a garbage ass fight....Fighting Alvarez is on the level of fighting F'ing Guerrero. Is garbage.

Like I said I'm not even sure if Alvarez can beat the winner of Marg-Cotto or JCC jr....Yet a match up with him and Floyd is passable? Nah...It's garbage...Good thing it ain't happening though.

Floyd headlined last year's cinco de mayo with Mosley and gotten the second highest PPV in history to date.
They don't need to be Mexicans, just a draw.

I guess Team Mayweather is dipping their toes in the water to see if the fish will bite their ****** options.
It's like this, is Alvarez the best fight to be made? Hell no, Bob does not want to make the best fight that is there to be made.

Second best would be Martinez but why would he fight this bigger guy when he can fight another big guy who is way more popular? If Floyd fights and beats Alvarez, it looks good on paper. Not only that, Mayweather is to Alvarez what De La Hoya was to Mayweather. Floyd will put Alvarez on that next level of stardom... It's good business for Golden Boy. Not only that everyone can say Floyd fought a "bigger" guy..

Again, is it the best fight? NO... Should it be made? No... Could it be made? Yes, because if Floyd does not get Pac there are not too many options for Floyd that would make him the money he wants and give him some kind of credit.

Besides, people are already calling Martinez old and looked like ****. Floyd won't get credit IF he beat him. Yet that fight should be made.

Khan is not ready and is just another JWW.... that fight can be made when Khan proves he can hang with WW's. Or else we get the Mayweather fought another smaller fighter and didn't beat him at his best weight etc etc etc... same thing we all heard about Hatton.

Alvarez is not a **** match up but just shouldn't be made at this time and I don't think it will be or at least I hope not.
