To be honest the fight was close and could be called either way. Pacquiao was the champion and Marquez did not decisively take the win. He would be better off fighting Khan for the Light Welterweight titles.
Pacquiao has always struggled with Marquez and always will. Roll on Pacquiao Mayweather for May 2012.

With all due respect to Marquez, I thought at least it was a draw if not a SD for Marquez. But being the best in the world? I don't think so, I don't think Marquez would fair well with Cotto, Margarito, Clottey or Mosley. Maybe He could handle Hatton, but even old ODLH would give Marquez trouble. Sorry Marquez about the robbery you got last saturday. But best in the world NO.

I gave JMM Rounds 2, 5, 8, 9, 11... But rounds 6-9 were real swing rounds and I understand how they could have been scored either way.

According to *************.com there was some sort of argument between Manny and his wife before the fight... You could tell JMM was more in the fight mentally and more focused.

Manny has got to be really pissed that he failed to impose his gameplan and make a definitive statement like he said he would.

Who else is thinking itīs possible that Floyd fights Tim Bradley in February or May?

Exactly the same conversation i was having yesterday, its like manny steward said, hes Ali's Foreman, they could fight till their 50 and the result would be no different. They just have a clash of styles. JMM wasn't aggressive enough, he got tagged alot himself and alot of the crowed pleasing shots were to the gloves so non scoring. Floyed had problems with castillo in fight 1 aswell, this is just something fighters go through. The superfight is still between two of the undecided p4p kings and JMM vs Pac 3 hasnt changed that.

            Enough already

Marquez needs to fall back. He has no tact whatsoever. The best thing he could have done was keep his mouth shut for a month and let Manny and Bob sweat. Juan Manuel Marquez has in essence, become Manny's way out. Juan needs to use that as leverage, but not so overtly. He is no longer with Golden boy so he is in fact his own promoter. That vacancy in his camp reveals itself with ill timed comments such as this one. He needs to hire someone special to represent him at the table. Someone with education. Not Nacho who is his manager from what I understand. Not good enough. JMM management failed him the last time he was in an advantagous position. Instead of a Manny rematch they sent him to bumblefu%k to fight a fight he had no chance of winning for $32,000! Juan has become a player, lets just hope he does not out-think himself. He should not be doing the thinking. Going back to Golden boy asap may be his best move. He can forget the fight going down in Mexico. Not going to happen with Cowboy Stadium all warmed up and ready to go. We shall see.

Agree with round 6 and 9 but that was like ledderman said, to do with the type of fight you have to look for other things because they were both back and forth.

I dno Bradleys with TopRank and i read yest that Arum turned down the may fight with floyed over fight 4 with jmm.

I reckon Khan might take the MGM May 5th fight because they're both with GB.

so you believe arum when he said this?....

I agree that if itīs made itīll probably be in Texas, maybe Top Rank or whoeverīs in charge will make a concession of some sort, for example one Mexican judge or something... I would have loved to see Pac v JMM 3 be made instead of the Clottey fight, hell, even instead of the Mosley fight. Terrible fights, total duds.

100 percent, and last time I checked Arlington Texas is flush with Mexicans and Mexican Americans. A mexican Judge may get tricky though. Especially if he turns in a bogus score. The spin then could be that he was a hired gun for the Mexico.

Then for the smart guys that say Marquez backed up all nigh. Stand in your livingroom & just move back idiots. You'd back into the wall all day, I promise. Circling your opponent, boxing 101. Pacman is overrrated & even he knew he lost, & that's that. How can Marquez be moving backwards if his back never touches the ropes?
A couple of times? Did you watch the video?
In rd.12 alone, Marquez did it three times.
