The latest round of negotiations for the potential megafight between welterweight champions Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. are over before they have even begun.

Leonard Ellerbe, one of Mayweather's advisors, and Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer both told ESPN.com Monday that they were notified that Pacquiao promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank was not interested in coming to the table.

"We have been informed that Bob Arum is not interested in pursuing a fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao at this time," Schaefer said.

Manny Pacquiao let Bob Arum destroy his image as a Top Fighter. Floyd already back at #1 in the WW division. It was Pac ducking all along. Why make a 4th Marquez fight and make Pac look worst? Cash out on the Floyd fight. Pac is going to go down as the one who ducked this fight not Floyd and I think it is becoming more evident to everyone.

Floyd Mayweather sets a date and place for his next fight. If he really wanted to fight Pacquiao why do that before trying to negotiate a fight?

Now they talking about trying to make the fight, two days after Manny just fought. Floyd is a guy that says he'll take some time off, take a vacation, see what he does, etc, yet Team Money expects for Top Rank to talk about a fight two days after one was just over? Can they give Team Pacquiao a few days at least? Damn. And why run to the media with this "they don't want to fight" stuff? Is that really helping in getting it done? The fight wouldn't be till May anywayz, so just relax. Even if they talked mid December and Pacquiao didn't want the fight, Floyd would still have enough time to get another opponent and properly promote the fight, don't you think?

As far as Team Pacquiao goes, I hope that a fourth fight with JMM does not happen. There is absolutely no point in it and Top Rank would be doing Manny a disservice. Do they want to keep putting him in there till he finally loses against Marquez? He's 2-0-1, all close fights that could've gone either way. A fourth one will go exactly the same way except maybe Marquez gets the decision his way. Then what? They'll go again for a 5th time? Ridiculous. My guess is Top Rank is waving the 4th fight to show Floyd they got options other than him.

I personally think the Pac vs JMM fight made both Pac & Floyd look bad. For Pac, it takes a little of the "wow" factor off he had going on and for JMM to put on that performance with all the talk of steroids makes Floyd look a bit like a fool. Here is a guy that is better than Marquez and Marquez put on a show no excuses.

I'm tired of all the games both the camps play and I sincerely hope they make the fight or simply say this fight ain't happening ever, so everyone can move on.

Pac needs to settle his unfinished business will JMM...

....Pac looks like he lost the last fight with JMM..Pac will have to face him to prove, who the real winner is...otherwise..JMM will be the MONKEY on his shoulder for the rest of his life....then if Pac wins...JR/PAC will definitely happen in Nov. next year....fighting Jr right away doesn't really makes sense since most people knows Pac lost to JMM and Jr dominated JMM, it's a no brainer to figure out who's going to win.....it will be Jr.,,unless Pac put up a show to lure Jr in to a death trap....Pac is an actor and a politician, who nows what his up to..all we know right now is that...Jr all of the sudden, are very interested to take the Pacman....but JMM deserves another fight...he is the real winner!

Difference between then and now is their is no major roadblock to the fight being made, BOTH have said in public that drug testing is no long and issue. If Floyd wants to put the Cal on Pac just lay it all out.

To add to what you just said, not only will he be known as a ducking coward but a fighter who ducked a blood test with many excuses.

Everyone now knows that Bob Arum NEVER intended to put Pac in there with Mayweather. He has the perfect chance to now and make the most money possible but is ducking it for another rematch with JMM which kills a Mayweather fight.

Bob Arum and Pac are the cowards and just deprived the boxing fans the biggest fight of this generation.

If the two divas ever actually fight, there is absolutely no way Pac is getting KO'd by Floyd. I've seen people running with this line since Saturday but it's not happening.

Wide decision? Yes.

KO? No.

Manny's chin is fantastic. If Cotto, Margs and Mosley couldn't hurt him, there's no way Floyd is KOing him.

But aside from that, Buboy's Twin is right. It's time for Pac to fight Floyd now.

I wouldn't count the KO out so fast. Pac said Marquez hurt him but he didn't say how. He doesn't like it downstairs. Marquez hit him with a body shot in the first round and Pac was visibly upset by it.

Marquez was able to land his jab to the body with somewhat regularity and with Floyd's reach advantage. Hmmm...
