Officially as in, the fight is confirmed to happen in 2012. I don't deny the fact that Morales team said GBP and Mayweather contacted them about the possibility of a Mayweather fight. Getting offered about the possibility of a fight isn't the same as officially guaranteed of getting it. So hold your horses. There are lots of desperate groupies on here.

I don't see this fight happening at all; if anything, Morales will be facing an opponent on the May 5th undercard... and to be honest, I don't want to see Floyd beat the shit out of that guy, i have too much respect for him.

I think it's more likely that Morales will fight on the undercard. Golden Boy talked about Mayweather facing Alvarez before and Alvarez was just on the undercard of Mayweather-Mosley. Could be hyping up the May 5th PPV by using Morales' name.

Morales going for a 5th world title in a different division, first Mexican to win a belt in 5 divisions. One guy is a brawler, the other a master technician. Exactly. If this is true and does happen then all of the sudden erik is an all time great and has a tone left in him, which he is an all time great, but Floyd would beat Erik on UD.
