"Who's to say Floyd will be able to fight May 5? He still has legal issues he's dealing with. And Manny may not be available May 5 because he may have obligations in Congress in the Philippines. Plus, there are going to be other people interested in doing this fight, not just the MGM. So for anyone to think that this is going to get done right away doesn't know what they're talking about." - Arum

The the past is that video you keep posting.
The future is that Mayweather is fighting on May 5th and has said publicly that he wants pacquiao.

That video you are posting is way before the Ortiz fight, which makes it the past.

            10. Let the Commission do their job

            11. We don't trust USADA

            12. 50/50 split won't get it done even though Mayweather consistently beats me in terms of generating revenue. Yes, Pacquiao recently said he wants more than 50/50.

            13. Mayweather may not be available due to his cases.

            14. Floyd Mayweather SR. said we couldn't train in the PI so that tells us they aren't serious.

            15. As long as we have a pending case against Mayweather, we obviously aren't going to fight.

            16. We hate Golden Boy so we won't negotiate with them.

            17. Mayweather didn't answer my online clock that counted down to zero.

            18. We're not going to wait on Mayweather. That's why we sign our next opponent 3 days after our last fight in order to shut out an opportunity or window to start earnest discussions with the Mayweather camp.

            19. I dont need Mayweather to enhance my career.

            20. Joshua Clottey fight days after Mayweather negotiations broke down. Arum ran so fast once blood testing was brought up...everything else was agreed to. C'mon...this **** is so obvious.

ARCADIA, California – Bob Arum yesterday pulled the plug on Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather in May.

He said they got “into the bottom of it” and what they learned was that Pacquiao is not the “little fella” being talked about.

It’s Erik Morales. Yes, Erik Morales. That’s what Arum said.

“You know who the little fellow that they already approached? It’s Erik Morales,” Arum said even without being asked.

“And Erik will confirm it – absolutely. Erik has been approached to make the fight. He’ll take it for the money. I’m sure he’ll take it for the money. Why wouldn’t he?” Arum asked.

There was a horse race going on at the Santa Anita Park, some 18 miles away from Hollywood, when Arum broke the news that Mayweather is eyeing Morales as his next opponent.

Arum was at the scenic park for what was supposed to be a public workout for Juan Manuel Marquez, who’s all set to face Pacquiao on Nov. 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

There’s so much interest in the coming fight, the third between Pacquiao and Marquez, but somehow Mayweather’s camp managed to draw some attention.

Mayweather’s adviser, Leonard Ellerbe, announced just a few days ago that the undefeated American, who demolished Victor Ortiz last Sept. 17, would return to the ring on May 7.

Against the “little fella” whom everybody thought was Pacquiao.

Arum said Mayweather was actually looking at Morales, who was knocked out by Pacquiao twice in 2007,then went on a three-year break before returning to the scene.

Morales lost to David Diaz before retiring. Then he came back in 2010 by winning four of his last five fight. But facing Mayweather next should be the last thing on his mind.

“I don’t know who’s gonna buy it (Mayweather vs Morales). But that’s the whole non-sense is all about,” said Arum as Marquez did interviews on top of a makeshift ring at the park.

Mayweather, he said, had no intention of fighting Pacquiao.

He had none then and certainly none until now.

“He (Mayweather) was on television last night. They say, ‘Why don’t you fight Pacquiao?’ And he says, ‘Take the test, take the test.’ What the f-k is he talking about?” Arum asked.

He said doping will no longer be an issue, just in case something new comes up regarding Pacquiao vs Mayweather, because there are so many ways to resolve it.

“Everybody knows that’s not an issue anymore. He will not fight Manny Pacquiao. And who cares. There are some better guys out there for Manny to fight,” Arum continued.

He said the Mayweather camp jumped the gun on them to announce the date of Mayweather’s next fight.

“They bull----ed the MGM to get the date, to get May 5. So they cut us out of getting May 5. But we don’t need May 5 because we’re not fighting a Spanish guy next. But they want May 5 because they’re fighting Morales.”

Arum said Pacquiao can fight in April, March or June, but they’re not actually thinking about it yet because there’s a fight on hand, the one against Marquez.

“Manny has got enough to worry about. This guy (Marquez) is not gonna be easy,” Arum said.

When the right time comes, and that could be right after the Marquez fight, Arum will lay the cards on the table for Pacquiao to see.

“I’ll point to Manny what’s out there and what’s available and Manny will let me know who he prefers. We discuss these things like adults. I don’t tell him to fight this guy I would never ever think of doing it.

“Freddie Roach would be involved as far as the opponent, and (Top Rank matchmaker) Bruce Trampler. And then we’ll arrive at a reasonable, concrete decision,” said Arum.

Then he turned around and faced the racetrack.

“This is a very nice place,” he said.

where have you been? fans have been urging arum and team ******* to put their bullshit on contract and mail it to floyd for the past couple of years now. i think floyd should do the same with this announcement but if it wasn't apparent before, arum clearly does not want and has never intended for this fight to happen on even terms. a fruitless task for mayweather.

                      Is manny too old

Look out people, Floyd is seeing what I'm seeing: Pac is looking old. If pac looks vulnerable against Marquez -- and gets another split decision, he'll have to fight Floyd on Floyd's terms. I also see Marquez looks a little to buffed to quickly ... steroids, anyone?
