Noone can deny that his last two fights looked very dangerous for him when he got KOd but he definitly deserves an oppertunity to reign again (or atleast prove he can stand his ground).
Right now I know most people will say he has very little to no chance at comming close to reigning again, but I really hope he can. Seeing a top-notch Taylor vs. the top dog SMWs whom he should have already been in with would be really exciting.

    'BAD INTENTIONS'
    Taylor was never a beast.

He had well rounded skills and was a good athlete but never should be a regarded as a beast especially when he was champion.

As a champion, he was actually a serious let down.

Another close boring fight with Hopkins, a draw with Winky Wright ( good fight though) and two bad performances against light middleweights ( Ouma and Spinks) who were brought in to actually make him look good yet he still looked terrible.

Then obviously Pavlik came along and exposed him for his bad stamina, stopping him in 7.

Taylor actually looked better after moving up to 168 when you think of his performances against Pavlik (2nd fight), Lacy, Froch and Abraham.

He was stopped in two of those fights but he was 30 seconds away from beating Froch and he was also competitive with Abraham for the most part.

Never was a beast? In the two years leading up to the Bhop fights he simply walked in the ring time after time and destroyed his opponents before they had a chance to see what was coming.

no clue who Nicklow is, which must be the point
give Jermain an easy win in front of his hometown fans
better way for him to go out than on a bad KO loss
Dibella must be certain there's no danger with this Nicklow guy
no more top tier fights for Jermain, but this one sounds ok

I think the time off was good for Taylor. If ring rust isn't a problem he should work his way back.
