Comments Thread For: Juanma: Now I'm Ready For Salido, Gamboa, Gonzalez

Former two division champion Juan Manuel Lopez (31-1, 28 knockouts) is pleased with Saturday's two round stoppage of Mike Oliver (25-3, 8 KOs). Oliver went down three times before the fight was stopped. It was Juanma's first bout since losing to Orlando Salido, by way of a technical knockout, in April. Juanma is now ready to face any of the champions in his weight division and he doesn't care which opponent comes first.

I love you Juanma but in truth you aren’t… Your defense is about as airtight as a Jeffrey Dahmer alibi.

So you think you're ready, huh, JuanMa?

Somebody needs to slap this kid; he's letting his once promising career slip down the gutter. There's no way he's ready for Salido, let alone Gamboa. After all the useless wait for a fight with Yuri, Lopez now wants to throw out challenging statements. Trouble is, we can't take him seriously anymore.

JuanMa needs to start over. He needs a new trainer, one who will bring him back to basics and teach him solid defense. Lopez's power will always be there; it's a God-given gift. With good defense and that dynamite, JuanMa can be a force again. Right now, Salido smokes him in the re-match. Gamboa...ni decir (goes without saying).

In truth that was Arum’s doing not Juanma’s or Gamboas for that matter. He (Arum) wanted to build this fight up and waited too long with one of the two losing their ?.?br />
That said, no offense to the Gamboa fans but this dude is STILL a knockout waiting to happen I still maintain that it will only be a matter of time we’ll be talking about Gamboa the same way we are talking about Juanma right now. He’s next on the “should have, would have, but couldn’t?list!

Juanma gets hit more than Ike did Tina! This guys will get spanked by Gamboa if Gamboa doesn't fight like he is in the amateurs and capitalizes on his offense! Juanma beats Gonzales but not Salido! But I'm sure PR Cotto think Juanma beats them all! Lmao!
