Sergio might as well order his hearse right now if he fights Pac at this weight. It's too low. If Pac refuses to go to 154 then Sergio should not take this fight. He will be severely drained and I'm talking De La Hoya drained. Pac will pick him apart and get the plaudits.

Catchweights are an absolute joke and should not be allowed
if a world title is on the line.
      Good post !!

Catch-weight fights are a joke, they should be completely abolished.

How the *** would fanny-pac have survived back under the original divisional system? He would lucky to be a 1-2 division titlist.

We got divisions coming out of our ears, but fanny-pac still needs a catch-weight

      One word..... HYPEJOB !!

All he has to do is lose 10 pounds and rehydrate to around 160lb, which is what every other welterweight rehydrates to. (Zhavec and Berto were 159lb) I mean, Martinez said he would take four months and that's only 2.5 pounds per month. That's not that BAD. It's one thing if you try losing that much in a short period of time, but if he takes his time it should be fine I think.

And most likely he'll take a fight at 154 first against Margarito (if he beats Cotto) or Angulo before fighting Manny or Floyd.

Pac will fight a weight drained fighter once again, if martinez wins, pac got beaten by a weight drained fighter who was not 100%, if pac wins, he beat a weight drained fighter. At the end of the day, pacquiao is a catchweight fraud.
          great post !!

Floyd won't touch Martinez, I'm betting he's going on vacation for another year or two!! By then, Martinez will be almost 40!

Funny how everyone mentions pacquiao as a possible opponent to martinez but hardly ever floyd. Maybe its the same thing paul williams said. That he has a better chance at making a fight with manny cause manny isn't scared to fight these bigger guys that pose a threat and floyd is.

Don't do it Sergio. Shouldn't jeopordize your health for a shot at Pac or nobody for that matter.

I know sergio deserves a big pay day but come on sergio. you could get the super 6 champion. I dont see Pacquiao or mayweather going up to fight Sergio even at a catch weight. He will be to big .
pacquiao said he would fight anyone from 150 and down martinez is now willing to make 150 so whats the problem

Nah, Martinez already said that Floyd is the better of the two and he would dust Pac off faster than Floyd.
