Comments Thread For: Amir Khan: I Saw New Weaknesses in Mayweather!

WBA/IBF junior welterweight champion Amir Khan was an interested observer, as he watched the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Victor Ortiz pay-per-view on Saturday night. Mayweather knocked Ortiz out in the fourth round to capture the WBC welterweight title. Khan is one of the leading candidates to face Mayweather in 2012. The British star is very confident in his ability to defeat Mayweather. Khan is trained by veteran Freddie Roach.

the thing is khan, mayweathher definitely wouldnt fight u the same way he fought ortiz. i think itd actually be a much easier fight. ortiz had a size advantage and had the luxury of being a southpaw, meaning he had more openings to exploit. he still looked like crap tho.

all i needed to see is where floyd was at in his fighting ability and age and from what i saw, u still cant beat him.

I did, he had to KO his opponent with a couple of sucka punches(WEAK!), apart from that he looked incredible.
Amir needs to forget about Mayweather for another year.

          What are those Amir?

If you fight Floyd and let your hands go leaving yourself very wide open like you always do, you can cruise to a lose via UD from Floyd.

Amir Khan you're a bum, go avenge your 1st round loss first then fight Victor Ortiz or Andre Berto then you can earn a shot at Mayweather. You need to work your way up like everyone especially after you got KOed in the 1st round by an ESPN fighter.

Khan would give Floyd problems. Khan will be the fastest fighter Floyd has EVER fought.

Is the Peterson fight official, has it been signed? If not, I'd like to see Khan face Zaveck, Berto or Ortiz at 147, quickly make himself relevant in that division. I like Peterson, but stylistically he doesn't present much problems for Amir.

Khan is a fool if he thinks Floyd is going to fight him the way he fought a slow big strong southpaw. It’s going to be a owl deferent game plan. Roche brains are overrated most of his fighters don’t adjust well.

Khan mows Vargas down and destroys him. I would be shocked to **** if Floyd put Vargas in with Khan, they are on completely different levels.

Khan vs Floyd has more and more appeal as I just don't see Manny and Floyd being made anytime soon, so who else better than Khan?

At least Khan doesn't have an ounce of quit in him and isn't as green as Ortiz who whilst wanting to be everyones friend forgot he was in a fight. I'm not sure how the Khan fight goes with Floyd but i'm sure Khan won't embarrass himself like Ortiz just did
