I sure hope not! 150??? Bad fight for Martinez. It would be ashame to see Martinez go beyond his ideal physical weight range <154 to fight Pac (or Mayweather for that matter). I truly hope he isn't swayed by the lucrative finacial op****ity.....where's the integrity? (sp) Make them come up in weight 154lbs

im just trying to understand the logic of marg being a hard fight for pac man... that was the most one sided fight ive ever seen!!!! i understand him being hit or hurt but isnt that a part of boxing????? pac killed that guy come on now!!!

so because pac won impressively it must been easy and a walk in the park for pac?? pac was throwing all night and couldnt even hurt marg even with pac's best shot and look at what marg did to pac with just 1 punch.

okay if thats how u see it then cool. and by the way he did hurt marg!!! broke his damn eye!! if u think none of pacs shots didnt hurt marg then maybe im crazy... lol when you have to ask the ref to stop the fight because you are destroying a guy... let me rephrase it! the fight was not easy because no 12 round fight is just easy... lets just say pac dominated that guy! as for this one shot everyone is harping on... are u all saying because that shot hurt pac so much it means he doesnt belong at that weight?

your missing the point im trying to make though. look at how many punch pac threw on marg and look at what happen when marg landed just 1 punch? im all for pac vs martinez if its at 150 but to say pac beat marg and it was an easy fight for pac is kinda going to far. to be honest if marg woulda land that shot in the earlier rounds i think he could have hurted pac more or maybe even stop him? but when he landed that punch on pac, marg was already pretty beat up and exhausted, he couldnt capitalized on it.

Can't blame Sergio. He wanted Floyd so bad, but there's barely a blip
about Sergio on Floyd's radar screen. Fighthype.com doesn't even bother
asking Floyd about Martinez. I thought they want the best for the best
fighter in the world. Not even a blip.

I personally don't have any issues with Sergio calling out Manny and Floyd.

I say this because he isn't doing anything other ATG MW's have done, which is look south at the WW division for huge paydays.

Bernard Hopkins looked south for bouts against Trinidad and De La Hoya (both WW's who were moving up)

Jake LaMotta looked south for a bout against one of boxing's biggest draws in Ray Robinson (WW)

Marvin Haglar eyeing bouts against guys like Hearns and Leonard

Carlos Monzon taking on Jose Napoles

and there are probably other examples, but the bottom line is that all the other greats MW's have done this, so given Martinez age, he absolutely deserves a Pacquiao or Mayweather payday and the shot at greatness that goes along with it.

TBH this fight has to take place at 153-155 for it to make any type of sense.

Even at that weight I still see Manny winning as he is the more skilled fighter, will actually shock Sergio with his power, and has alot of other attributes in his favor that could help him pull off the upset.

Matter of a fact if Manny does to Floyd what I think he will do to him, this is the only fight that would make sense for him to take.

I used to think Sergio would win but I've realized over the last 6 months or so that I've been overrating the hell outta him.

Even despite the size advantage, I'd have to make Manny at least even money.

I understand the money would be great for him but Martinez shouldn't be calling out a fighter who at the very most a welter. bull**** 154lb title aside.
