He would have had a tough fight against Froch, and honestly I am not sure what would happen with him and Ward, it would have been an ugly fight, I have not seen Ward under the kind of pressure that Calzaghe would have put him under, even B-hop found it tough. It is educated pressure, with speed and unrelenting workrate. Ward is faster and technically better, prime for prime its a 50/50 but I have a sneaky feeling Calzaghe would find a way in a very close fight.
As crazy as it may seem, I actualllt think he would lose to Dirrrell, if the fight had taken place in America....I dont think Clazaghe has the power to hurt Dirrell, and that seems to be the only think that stops Dirrell from keeping the pressure.....
Ward and Dirrell would've beaten him, Froch is crazy overrated so I'm not sure how that fight would've gone down. It's hard to tell because of Joe's poor resume, his best wins are over B-Hop and Kessler both close fights. B-Hop did beat Pascal who I think is also crazy overrated, I mean if you saw the Dawson fight Dawson could've easily KO'd him any time he wanted if he just threw some punches, that loss was more mental than anything.
Calzaghe would have taken Dirrell into deep waters. For the first few rounds it would be competitive, then the constant pressure and tagging by Calzaghe would have broken Dirrell down.
Ward vs Calzaghe would be an ugly yet exciting fight - could go both ways really.

Kessler-Calzaghe was not a close fight at all. Competitive, mostly in the early rounds, but Calzaghe took over and swept the 2nd half of the fight. Calzaghe would not box against Dirrell and Ward, he would pressure with volume, back them up with his jab and size and take the fight to both guys, he was so adaptable and that is what made him difficult to beat. Hard fights to call to be honest, could go either way, especially Ward.
