If you hate on Al Hamon, shouldn't you hate on bob arum too?

I see everyone blasting Al Haymond & his fighters. A lot of it is deserved no doubt. But also a lot of the people hating on Haymond supports arum, or a few of his fighters. How does that work? Haymond gets his guys good money against less than stellar opposition right? But arum does the same thing except his star fighters only fight on ppv.

Haymon is a manager, Arum is a promoter

Arum's fighters are built up with large followings

Haymon fighters have no following and are given large money to fight alot if nobodies and for some reason almost controls HBO

To be honest I don’t hate/dislike either, but if you want to talk about who has the better track record of quality fights with a quality stable then Top Rank reigns supreme and Al Haymon is in the rear view mirror sucking on 50 cent blow pop!

Al-Haymon is the reason Dawson-Hopkins is on PPV. Because he blackmails HBO into paying his Fighters 90% of their yearly Boxing budget, so they only have a few shows now, there used to be a HBO show almost every weekend. Now its very very rare, half the shows they show a pre-fight that happened in Europe with 1 fight in USA. Its a complete joke.

They should ban Haymon and refuse to do business with him or stop overpaying for his crap. Its pretty clear he has some sort of blackmail over them or leverage, there is no other reason to be overpaying 3-4x for his fighters.

Its like paying Ponce De Leon 2m per fight.

Haymon looks to makes his fighters large sums of money

Arum looks to make large sums of money out of his fighters, whilst at the same time not giving boxing fans the bouts we want

Al Haymon: 'you're gonna give Andre Berto close to a million dollars to fight Freddy Hernandez'

HBO: 'that's insane...we dont know about that'

Al Haymon: 'you dont know? ok, how about i take Beyonce, another one of my clients, to Showtime?'

HBO: 'ok...$900K for Berto vs Hernandez it is'

HBO has no choice sometimes, but i'll just let the TS go on because this isn't really about that for him..its just another chance to take a shot at Arum...which is fine....just pointing out the agendas for those who cant see
