Tarver = the Roy Jones killer. He absolutely owned the biggest name in boxing for Americans over the last 10 years. (Tyson was an 80's fighter, and De La Hoya is big because of his Mexican roots, not because Americans know and like him). Tarver is the perfect choice.

Yeah, very few men admit to being De La Hoya fans. He's my least favorite fighter of all time.

Yesterday it was reported that Stallone was sparring with Roy Jones Jr, intent to get him to play a role in his upcoming Boxing Movie, Rocky 6.

There is also a conflicting report that Tarver's name is on the list also, but Sly Stallone wants Roy Jones, Jr. to play Rocky Balboa's opponent, Mason Dixon, in "Rocky 6."

Which makes sense, since NO ONE out side of Boxing even knows Antonio "Who?" Tarver. Having Tarver in the movie will not help ticket sales. Having Jones Jr in the movie however more than likely will.

The highly anticipated Movie begin shooting in Philadelphia and Las Vegas in 2006.

Stallone will again play the role he made famous, Balboa while Burt Young will once again play Paulie. The rest of the cast will be unknowns.

Stallone will likely direct. He said the following about the plot.

"There's a computer fight between the reigning world champion and Balboa, and Balboa wins," he said.

"The champion's management says let's do this for real, for charity. Rocky says no but decides to be true to himself even though he's going to be berated by everyone. Just to compete, not to win."

Yeah I don't think this would be great casting for the boxing portion of the movie. Tarver will look like a tall twig next to Stallone. And just because he's damn good at talking trash, I don't know how good he'd deliver. Actually Stallone is directing, and he could probably get a good performance out of Tarver, but still, Tarver is too small for the role.

Tyson is f'n perfect. Two of boxing's biggest icons (Tyson and Rocky Balboa) finally in the same movie. That'd be poetic. Especially considering what the film is about.

Here's a question.... could Stallone KO Roy Jones?

First I heard Mike Tyson, then Roy Jones, now Tarver? I'm not gonna believe any of this **** until Stallone says something himself about it.
