That's true there's no hard concrete evidence.

But if my memory serves me right, Cotto was upset and fired his uncle because he wasn't adequately watching Margarito's hands get wrapped.

I'm still looking for both links so stand-by. But I definitely remember reading something to support my arguments.

That doesn't mean that Margarito cheated prior to the Mosley fight, but it does give you reason to believe.

Margarito's biggest win was still prospect Cintron at that point. No way he was getting billing ahead of Oscar.. but all he had to do was keep winning, and he would've got his shot. Plaster fked everything for him. Got KO'd and just tumbled after.
if you listen to jro, marg was the best thing since sliced bread

I don't think so. None of us are even sure that he used plaster in that fight... or the Cintron fights... or any fight prior to Mosley. But I do happen to think that Mayweather not fighting Margs was probably his best career decision to date.

Why are people still hanging a Margarito fight over Floyd's head despite the Margarito scandal that was brought to light in 2009?

Looking back on things, that was the best move Floyd made in his career...

          Thoughts?
I see it as the other way around. Cotto ducked Floyd, and Floyd wasn't interested ever in fighting marg.

marg became irrelevant after he was busted up by Mosley. The Mosley fight was the first time we KNOW he was clean, and antonio failed to do anything in there except be an old underdog's punching bag.

Reason marg is "credited" when it comes to Floyd is he had the most direct effort ever on a man that is extremely elusive to get into the ring. Cotto wouldn't ever open up his mouth and say me want to fight Mayweather in a thousand years.

I read somewhere that there were blood stains on the blocks, but again, I don't find that sufficient enough.

I knew I remembered reading this somewhere.

This doesn't provide facts, but it does make you think. //krikya360.com/insider-n...h-talks--23109

                  Here's a quote:

According to Bob Arum, who promotes both Cotto and Margarito, Evangelista Cotto was not in the room at the time.

"First of all, we gotta get the facts right," Arum Said. "Evangelista was not in there when the wrapping took place and that led to the breakup between Miguel and Evangelista. Neither was Miguel Diaz there. They were taking care of some f****** preliminary fighter when all this was going on.".

Stand-by, I'm going to find the other article where Richardson quotes Capetillo as saying "What's the problem, we always use this chemical on his hand wraps. It's nothing".

Calling Marg a cheat is fine but it doesn't change the fact that Floyd straight ducked him. Stop trying to feel better about it by making excuses after the fact.
I'm still trying figure out how Floyd ducked Marg when he choose to fight Baldomir who at the time was coming off two big wins and was the undisputed WW Champion of the World...and recieved a bigger pay day...hmmmm. Not to mention he just left Top Rank and was feuding with Bob Arum...so how is that exactly ducking...And who in the right mind is gonna fight AM after they just broke a ppv records and made the biggest payday of their life...Come on Man...think about!
