Why not? Its easy money, ppv potential, and we will finally see Tarver destroyed like many of us want
I say Tyson should jump right on the opportunity.
No offense, but I don't see Tyson winning another fight in the ring unless he fights burnouts that are really BURNT OUT, or up and comers that have less than ten fights. All Tarver has to do is throw straigt combos and use lateral movement for 4 or 5 rounds, which will wear Tyson out, and if Tyson doesn't quit by then, Tarver should step in the 6th will hard pressure and he will secure either a KO or TKO. Either way, Tyson is done. Let his legacy die with what dignity it still has left.
Tyson should stay retired. I'm definitely one of Tyson's all-time biggest supporters. Defended him through everything, but I don't want to see him in the ring again. He does not need to fight anymore. All it'd be for him is some money. Not enough to put much of a dent in any debt he has. Even if he won, which is doubtful seeing how McBride beat him, what would it prove? Not a thing.
Listen McBride is **** but he's a big, strong ****. He easily outmuscled Tyson in the clinch, was too tall to hit cleanly in the head, and offered only a robust, flab reinforced body for a target. He survived Tyson because of his size and strength. Tyson could have cut him down in a few rounds, but it wasn't worth it to him. He decided to quit.
Now I would bet my house that Tyson would ice Tarver at any point in his career. Tarver is a skinny, skinny, dude with a bird like build. One Tyson left hook, to the head or body, would put him in serious trouble. Tyson, even a sixty year old version, knows what to do when a guy is hurt.
I have no love for Tyson but he would kill Tarver. I can't see Tarver beating any experience heavyweight puncher with his bone structure and less than stellar reflexes.
He won't go any higher than cruiser if he knows what's good for him.
