    You dont think vic has any chance of beating or hurting floyd?

    This is boxing anything can happen, either you truky think ortiz is a bad fighter or you just dont want to give him props in order to discredit floyd.

      He's better than Pac's last two opponents. But he's damn sure not better than Pac's next opponent.

        Um no..thats not cool at all.

        But the fact is he was gone for a year and hes fighting a good opponent when he comes back. Hes said himself he wants to stay busy and keep fighting and ill hold him to his word.

          I"m a huge Sergio fan but he's too big for Manny and Mayweather. Sergio can get to 154 but lets all be honest and admit he's really a 160 fighter.

          by the way, I'm not going to bash Sergio too much for wanting to fight Mayweather or Manny. At this point in his life, he just wants a big check and i can't blame the guy because he getting up there in age.

            If an athlete has nothing to hide, they'll take the tests. Period.

              Ortiz is not on the level of pac, jmm, or fmj.
              But hes good enough to contest.

                  He said he wanted to stay busy in the postfight interview after the Mosley fight. And 16 months later, we'll have a Mayweather fight. I don't anticipate seeing him again until late 2012.

                    ur actually gonna give floyd credit for beating ortiz????

                    i aint even gonna give pac credit if he beats ortiz LOL

                    ortiz is just like a hired sparring partner for this two to prepare for a fight :///

                    defence = 0

                    power = 0

                    speed = 0

                    head movement = 0

                    think about ortiz having this four characteristic againts ur FLOYD who actually have all four of those???
                    now is he risky??

As do I hold Pac, Maravilla, Donaire, and even JMM because they IMO are true elites. Ortiz is a respectable opponent. But, all this talk of him being a "risky" opponent is just nonsense. He was son'd by Maidana and drew Peterson. That is not the resume of a guy that I would classify as "risky" for what I believe is the best fighter in the world.

                      BTW, stop playing the layoff card. Money wasn't hurt. He wasn't having promotional issues. The reason he wasn't fighting is because he didn't want to. Period.
                      Ortiz is a solid southpaw WW with pop in both hands, a sturdy chin, and good boxing fundamentals with nothing to lose and everything to gain. That's very dangerous imo, but I will admit his footwork will be his downfall. The reality is there is no fighter close to the level of Floyd talent wise. If Pacquiao still doesn't want to play ball, then Floyd should use the rounds with Vic to go after Marvella @ 160.
