Bobby Pacquaio is being fed to the lion here. He is not on Famoso's class. Remember he lost via K.O. to another asian fighter before he won against Navarro.

But I'm not blaming him or his team for taking this fight, this is his ticket to FAME.

            hahahahahaha, it's all good bro

            heres the full article

On Saturday night at the Thomas and Mack Arena in Las Vegas, Bobby Pacquiao, the brother of Filipino superstar Manny, faces Carlos Hernandez as one of the featured performers on the undercard of the highly anticipated rematch between Diego Corrales and Jose Luis Castillo (9 PM, ET/PT, Showtime PPV).

There have been a lot of brother duos in boxing history. In recent years, we have seen the highly successful Marquezes (Juan Manuel and Rafael) and the Klitschkos (Vitali and Wladimir), but pairs like that are the exception and not the norm. Most of the time they are more like the Judahs - where Zab is the undisputed welterweight champion of the world and bigger brother Daniel is just a decent light heavyweight. Or the Currys, the Canizaleses and Fullmers, where one brother casts a large shadow over his sibling with overwhelming success that the others can't come close to matching.

Unfortunately, that's where the Pacquiaos stand. While Manny has become a world champion several times and has earned pound-for-pound status, his brother Bobby has gained just journeyman status with his mark of 25-11-3.

But he took a big step in making a name for himself by upsetting Carlos Navarro in June on ESPN2. Early on he would slip and slide all over as if he was on ice, but as the rounds went on, he would take over the fight and stop the former prospect in seven heats.

It was a surprising development, especially to his own trainer, Freddie Roach, who trains both brothers.

"He definitely did," he admitted. "Because he was slipping early and Navarro looked like he was catching him and so forth. But once he got the shoes corrected, he stopped slipping, he just dominated Navarro and it was very good win for him.

"Bobby's confidence has grown greatly since that fight. In fact, when I watch him spar, I go, 'Who is this guy?' He's not the same Bobby Pacquiao, believe me. I was really worried about Carlos Hernandez because I know Carlos is a real tough, hard guy and this is going to be a tough fight. But I love our chances right now. I thought Bobby always had a chance if he trained hard and so forth. He's done the work. The thing is, he's dedicated himself for some reason, something changed in him over the Navarro fight.

"He rededicated himself, he's trained harder than I've ever seen him train and he's looking better than ever. I think with the southpaw jab he's going to give Carlos hell."

Roach admits that it wasn't too long ago that he felt that unlike the famed 'Pac Man', Bobby just didn't have 'it' - the special qualities that made Manny who he is.

"I trained Bobby in the Philippines for awhile," the trainer explains. "The thing is, I was never really impressed with Bobby because I think he just wanted to be a fighter because his brother was a fighter. He really didn't have that hunger. I always said, 'If it got tough in there, he'd quit'. But ever since he knocked out Navarro, he's a different guy. There are sparring partners that Manny had trouble with and Bobby's having an easier time with the sparring partners than Manny did."

Unlike his famed brother, there's no need to have a closed gym when Bobby strolls anonymously into the Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood. No signs are needed to keep adoring fans out, and as he works inside the gym he blends in with the other fighters and white collar types who get their work in.

He's the proverbial beige spot on the beige wall.

"He doesn't have the fame his brother does and he's not as outgoing as his brother; he's a little shyer of a person," Roach says. "So he doesn't have that personality that Manny has, that big smile and all that. Manny loves the people, but Bobby's a little more reserved."

But that's the way it is - some folks are Marsha Brady, others Jan. But maybe, just maybe, with a win versus Hernandez this weekend, Pacquiao can have a revival like Charlie Murphy, who for years was the forgotten one as Eddie's brother. No, he may not ever surpass his achievements, but he has carved out his own niche in recent years with his work on 'The Chappelle Show' due to his Rick James remembrances and all.

Hey, sure beats being known for the K-9 Posse all your life, right?

Roach has an interesting and unique perspective in all of this, since he has trained a pair of brothers and was in a family of fighters himself.

"I think there's always problems because of the jealousy, of course," he says. "It happened in my family. We all grew up boxing, and Pepper was the better boxer so we fought about it all the time in the streets and so forth with each other. We were very, very competitive and everybody wanted to be the best in the family. But it seems like one always does take the lead.

"With the Klitschkos, Wladimir was the famous one and Vitali was so jealous of his little brother, I thought, and then things have swapped hands here, where Vitali's the man now and Wladimir's chasing his brother's quest."

But beyond that, Pacquiao fights for things much more important than recognition.

"The thing is, success, money, Bobby Pacquiao's a poor kid, and he won't take any money off his brother," Roach explained. "I've been to his house before; he lives in a one bedroom shack with his wife and baby. And to cook he goes outside and builds a little campfire and that's how he cooks. He doesn't own a stove."

A win against Hernandez and his career could be cooking.

You made it very degrading that he lost to an Asian fighter. What are you trying to say?

Anyway, I think Famoso destroys BobPac within 8 rounds but I'll be rooting for BobPac all the way.

The Asian fighter that TKOd Bob Pac was Fahpakrob Rakkiatgym, the same guy that PacMan KTFOd in 1 round. I didn't saw that fight in Phuket, but a friend said that Bob looked that he just quit after a constant body attack. Oh boy! Famoso just vowed that he'd cut down Bob like a tree with the same strategy.

                  Goodluck BP.
