Like someone said earlier, the difference between this fight and the last one is that we know Marquez looks like **** at that weight.

Correction. Marquez looks bad against Floyd Mayweather at that weight. You can't really conclusively say he can't be competitive at that weight class based on A fight with Floyd Mayweather.

Mayweather would present a stylistic nightmare for Marquez in any weight class. Weight had very little to do with the outcome of that fight, and it's going to have very little to do with the outcome Pac-Marquez 3.

There's nothing wrong with either of these fights, being 12 pounds heavier than a guy isn't going to help you whoop somebody's a$$ or be the primary factor in whether you can whoop somebody's a$$.

Armchair boxing enthusiasts put WAY to much stock in trivial weight differences.

there is absolutely no difference between the two fights, only that Floyd laid waste to Marquez and made it look easy. Pacquiao is a fully fledged welterweight, as is Mayweather, Marquez has had to jump up from Lightweight to Welterweight to fight both of them

There is no difference, only in the eyes of *******s. Floyds win will look all the more impressive if Pacquiao struggles or loses with Marquez. If Pacquiao beats JMM, then *******s will claim his victory is better or worth more blah blah blah

            This^^

Of course Ortiz is just being cherrypicked by Floyd for a quick buck, but Pac-Ortiz is a legacy match up for Pacquiao!

also, jmm does'nt need to come in as a bloated fighter like in the floyd fight just to close the size gap between them....he can come in healthy at around 145 and the size will be around even....

Pac could easily made 140 pounds. Why not fight at 140, He wanted Mosley at 142
