    Can Saul Alvarez really make 147?

    I keep hearing he's a possible opponent for Pacquiao, and it's pretty clear Pac won't be returning to 154 (well, 150...), so surely this means Canelo would have to make 147.

    He missed the catchweight against Matt Hatt and he looked HUGE against Rhodes. Can he really get to 147?

    I am starting to come around to Canelo being the real deal...but Manny would wreck him at 147. Probably at 154 (150) too.

      i think it will be very hard! right now he could do this but remember he is only 20 and is a solid 154 pounder! a few years from now he will be a middleweight

        Alvarez can't go down. His body is still growing. He will be fighting at MW by 2012

          He was 165 on fight night.

          He's just outgrown 147.

          He'll be a real big 154 fighter 1 year from now.

              i dont think he can make it..
              he'll be lookin like de la hoya from the pac fight if he goes down. plus he's got his hands full in his division (lots of great possible fights). if they really want to make a pac fight happen, and fair, gbp should say no less than 154.

                  If Alvarez is smart he will refuse to weight drain himself for a Pac fight. He's young and popular he can get rich on his own. Only make the fight if Pac comes up with no catchweight pus.sy crap.

                    That would make Pac a legitimate 154 pound champion...I think it will snow in hell before we would see that fight.
