I see Canelo having a better career than Oscar de la Hoya overall

Trust me thats how great this young man looks. Canelo is a menace to whoever steps in the ring with him.

Maybe in Mexico, but in America? No way.

        You're kiddin', right?

Canelo will grow to be a good fighter, an elite even but nowhere near as accomplished or famous as Oscar. I can't see that happening.

            way too early to tell.
And Canelo unfortunately doesn't have the living legends around like JCC Sr. and Pernell Whitaker he can build his career off of. And he has no amateur pedigree of which to speak of. And he can't speak English.

if ts was around during oscar's prime he would say dela hoya will have a better career than ali. he gets easily impressed by one good performance even against outmatched opponents...oscar has lots of that in his prime.

you know its wierd. alot of you don't know this but before the internet
in the '90's. i and alot of others looked at delahoya similar to how we look at chavez jr. now days. he was brought up easy. fought big names when they were on the way down. ran alot and talked alot.

alvarez has already missed the boat on titles at 140 and 147. i can't really see him going higher than 160, 168 tops. he's already had almost as many fights as de la hoya had and he still hasnt fought anyone even remotely close to the level oscar was fighting in his early in his career. the 4 fights de la hoya had in 1995 alone will probably ***** any 4 consecutive fights alvarez will ever have.

but at this rate, yeah, alvarez will have a nicer looking record because he fights softer touches
