Glass Joe I think not.

He's had an extensive amateur career, and has been hit by plenty of big punchers in the pros. Sure he's ran out of gas and been cold ****ed in a few fights.. but this is boxing man.

Sometimes guys lose fights, but he takes the heat for it because he was supposed to be the centerpiece of the division years back and was the apparent heir to Lewis' throne.

I don't care what the media or people think, I've always thought he has the potential to be as great as Lennox was.

Well, Toney didn't get beat by Rahman, they fought to a draw, and yes, I predicted a long time ago that only Rahman would give Toney a good fight. With that said, Toney IS a fat slob right now, and I'd pick Wlad to beat him.

A few xtra pounds gonna diminish his skills and power? He did more work in the Rahman fight than the Ruiz fight, didnt seem like the poundage mattered. I think you just hate Wlad and made that decision because you would have been backed up by Bloodshed and Bozo. Now that they arent seen around here much youve wisened up.

It depends on which Toney gets in the ring with Wlad, If he would have been in top shape(other then round) i think he could've beat Rahman. I dont see anyone knocking him out, if duran was the hands of stone, then Toney has the Chin of stone. Also I think that Byrd could have done much better but he went in with the wrong plan, at least he should have been moving his f*%kin' head, only Brewster could pull off that kind of gameplan, someone which Wlad should stay away from , Wlad is a great boxer with good power, but dont forgot about the mans glass jaw.

his jaw doesnt matter in this case. toney cant pop a zit at heavyweight and has yet to prove he can take an elite punching heavyweights punch. toney would take a ferocious beating in this fight. worst than byrd

All respect for Toney(no love though for that crack dealer) but he got nothing, and I mean nothing that would give him any sort of a chance in this fight.
If the dude is planning to stay on the ropes -- he dies
If he plans to pressure Wlad -- he dies.
hey, if there is some sort of a third scenario, he still dies.

Stop the hate even if you don't like him he is a Hall of Famer when he retires and 1 of the top fighter's of this era. To be fighting at HW and giving these guy's a good fight is something in itself. He hasn't lost in year's and even out of shape had a draw with 1 of the champ's. Everybody said he coulden't take Rahman's punch as well and Toney landed by far the cleaner shot's and wasn't really in danger. I also saw him give Rahman respect after, it's obvious he talks knowing what Boxing used to be and is tryna create some ****e. He's gotten movie roles and is getting title fight's past his prime in the HW div so he may be smarter then you think(talking get's attention). And he had a tough upbringing w/o a father so him selling drugs at 18 has nothing to do with a 37 yr old Toney now. He must not be a thug or he wouldn't have had such a long run, PPL that know him say he's outspoken but a "good guy" when he get's to know you.How do you know he doesn't give to charity? I look at the glass half full he turned his life around,dealer to Hall of Famer sounds good to me. Some ppl don't have a silver spoon and come from different backround's.
