Ortiz doesn't throw a jab.
Del la was doing good when he was throwing the jab. he's gotta throw it with conviction!

Well first off is You can't outbox this guy but i would have him fight a intelligent pressure fight.
1) Coming in behind a double jab or jab left hook. Throw to the body then spin out on angles not backing straight out. Jab to the body early and often, if that's the only punch that's there throw it.
2) Oritiz will have to keep a mid tight guard not exposing his head or his body too much but keeping it mid give him the opportunity to react to a jab to body or head.
3) I would have Ortiz work on stamina and an accurate fast double jab. to break up timing as well as use your legs and angels to keep out of trouble. Allot of head movement when idol or in a defensive posture.
4) I would try to keep enough pressure on Floyd to keep him tense but i would stay out of his range and make him use his legs to start any kind of offensive attack. Make him reach even though you have shorter arms.
5) If you go into attack make it rough and get out fast. leave no openings for counter punches.
6) Don't press the action too much if Ortiz gasses out to early it will be a long night.
Ultimately he's going to have to blend a bit of boxing with a bit of rough house smart tactics... i guess kinda like Castillo did...
His coaches are really going to have to eat up allot of tape make sure they have a good plan A that can fall back to a plan B.

Ortiz only chance of winning this fight is if he comes out in round 1 and uses all his energy punching his hardest, just putting pure pressure on Floyd. Floyd hasnt even been in the ring training for the times he's been away. even 2 weeks ago he wasnt in the gym for over a year.
Boxers always gotta stay in shape and form, hopefully Ortiz sends this bum back to the ******. FMJ is overrated and too hyped up. He's like Lebron, will never be great because of no heart.

The difference there is, Oscar has an excellent left jab and used it throughout his career unlike Ortiz.

He applied constant pressure on floyd but how did he get inside? He bobbed and weaved and moved his head in all sorts of unpredictable directions. He didn't really rely on his jab much at all it was the upperbody movement that allowed him to get inside.
Ortiz doesn't do any of these things and he doesn't have a strong jab either so he will fail unless he some how works and develops these things quickly which seems pretty unlikely.
A lot of people think that it was simply just the constant pressure that allowed Castillo to do so well against floyd but it was a lot more than that. I re-watched the first fight not long ago and I was reminded about how tricky Castillo was. That head movement was something I totally forgot about.

My only concern is if it not consistent enough or if he doesnt double it or shoot something with it at times FMJ will start pullcounters on it.
