You would be a complete ****** to turn down those two fights at the time. Because of those two fight, pacquaio became the biggest draw in boxing and solidified himself as an ATG.
Also remember after the first pacquaio vs Marquez fight that marquez was the one ducking pacquaio.

I can't think of any other reason why Marquez would be hated. He embodies what a boxer should be.
Pacquiao did beat mexican greats including marquez, barrerra and moralez people then started labelling him as "mexicutioner" but he never wanted to be called or associated with that and has politely brushed it off opting instead to praised them for a hell of a fight his had with them.
A quote from Barrerra might juggle your senses;
''Manny Pacquiao is the best fighter in the world. Usually a good big man will always beat a good little man, but Pacquiao is a great little man. It is amazing how he can go up in weight and beat all of these huge guys,'' said the former three time world champion Barrera.
''I wanted Margarito to win. I mean my heart was with him and I thought he had a pretty good chance, but after Pacquiao cut him - I knew it was over. Manny is a gentleman, because he had Tony hurt in the 10th round and he could have finish him, but he let Tony survive. He showed his class and that is why he is the best. I am not ashamed to be on his list of victims because he is great,'' Barrera concluded..

A fighter like Barrerra praises Manny for who he is and not based on his losses with him, jelousy or how much/less money he can generate on ppv.
As Manny would say “It's nothing personal for me, I'm just doing my job.”
WIN OR LOSS..he never predicts a win every fight hes had. But of course people will always disagrees with his character and achievements in or outside the ring.Last edited by KitangKatag; 06-15-2011, 06:18 AM.

everything you said pretty much was for nothing.
did you actually read his post?
we were discussing why JMM is so hated and disrespected when he embodies what boxing is all about.
You just went on a rant about how great Manny Pacquiao is LOL
He said JMM is hated primarily by *******s because he outboxed Pacquiao twice thus showing you guys it's possibly for your idol to get outboxed. He isn't a superman that can't be beat.

I was merely pointing out what Barrera had said, your other MEXICAN LEGEND has bowed down unto him.Last edited by KitangKatag; 06-15-2011, 06:41 AM.
