Oh come on, mayweather vs ortiz is a better fight right now then mayweather cotto.

Now if your talking some years ago. Yes he should have fought cotto and margarito. For sure.

But right now, cotto is not what he once was, and margarito(is he even allowed to fight yet?)

For mayweather, who is coming off a long lay off, this is a great fight. Ortiz is no bum, and everyone is "green" at some point in their career until they breakout...

depends on what floyd does after.

if he retires again, then its not a tune up. if he fights pac or sergio, then it is tune up.

now, is it an easy fight for floyd? yes, its supposed to be but that doesn't take away the fact that ortiz is the best possible opponent at floyd's weight class outside of pacquiao
