    When is a fighter "Ready"?

This has been the saying around NSB and in the boxing community, "Ready". If it's not the Gamboa nut huggers, the Ortiz haters and Bob with Jr.

Gamboa beats Solis and people put in here put him in the "elite" class, really?

Ortiz gets manhandle by Maidana and people are hating that he got a shot at PBF, so what, PAC got knockout twice and he got a shot at Barrera for money.

Now JCCjr isn't ready to face the top MW or Jr MW.

Is this the new trend in boxing, cause what I see is that no fighter coming up will ever be "Ready".

Another example is when Ortiz fought Berto, Ortiz wasn't ready for welterweight division.

I think that had more to do with the fact Berto seemed to be making a career feeding off of guys from the 140 pound weight class division. Ortiz was big at 140, so obviously he made 147 w/o problem.

I don't know what you're talking about in regards to Gamboa, people call him elite because of how insanely talented he is. Obviously right now he's in a tricky spot w/o many big names in his weight class or immediately north but he's not even ranked top 10 pound 4 pound yet.

"La ley del pastel" as Finito Lopez will tell you. The fighter is "ready" when his trainer says he's ready. Who cares what nuthuggers or haters say.

So beating Salido and Solis makes him elite, boxing standards have sunk to a new low.

when they beat a serious fighter in their division
that, or when they win a belt
in either situation, they can't be justifiably protected anymore

When they are semi retired, 38 years old, and when Bob Arum says it's time.

That's the only time a fighter is ready to step up to fight an elite fighter.

Can't tell until you see that guy in a sink or swim situation, there is no way to tell before that happens.

But just because a guy hasn't proven to be "ready" does not mean they can't handle that situation~
