We had a meeting with president of the WBC [Jose Sulaiman], and we came to an agreement. I'll have to wait for Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. to make his first belt defense. And then I intend to wait and see what the WBC's decision will be for permitting me to dispute the championship that I had before. Before that, I have a date secured with HBO on October 1st. They have already confirmed that the date is mine. And then I'll go for the title. But for that, what's happening is that the World Council does not want me in front of a Mexican rival. It's that we're like brothers with the Mexicans. So according to Sulaiman, it's not convenient for me at the moment to be fighting a Mexican. I have very good press in Mexico, and I can still continue to exploit it much more.

Martinez should be blaming his promoter for not building up an opponent or negotiating one a long time ago.
You never see anyone begging dibella for opponents. Other promoters just use his fighters for last minute replacements and for propping up there own fighters.
That'd because unlike him, they actually plan and promote. Dibella will take anything he's offered because he's not doing **** anyway.
