What does a Mayweat win over Ortiz do for Mayweather's legacy?

We know Ortiz has a brutal loss against Maidana.

We know Ortiz has a very nice win against Berto.

We know Ortiz is young and strong.

What does beating Ortiz do for Mayweather's legacy?

Is it enough to put Mayweather back in the p4p#1 spot?

Is it enough to increase his ATG rankings?

What boxing followers want to know is what does this fight do for Mayweather?

would be a legetimate win even though ortiz pre berto fight performances were not great and he gave up in the maidana and peterson fight he cameback and shocked all so it would be a good win for floyd beating a young newly crowned fighter like ortiz, i know he will lose but i hope vic pulls the upset

IMO it increases not his legacy, but it improves the public perception of him, Ortiz is a worthy opponent and definitely no pushover.

And Floyd's ring rust can lose him this fight.

We know there's this guy being praised for wins over guys that were sub par at the moment.

We Know Ortiz at this currant moment shits on those Sub Par guys.

We Know this fight will be a legitimate WW fight (No catch weights) for the WBC belt.

We Know Ortiz is the #2 ranked WW fighter in the world.

We Know Ortiz is coming of a remarkable win over a good undefeated fighter.

And We know this will be a great win If Mayweather can pull it off.

        aka Good for his legacy.

Wont be P4P #1 till he beats Pac.

            EZ.... 40 - 50 millions

Mayweather vs Ortiz ---------> pacquiao vs JMM3 @144 and pacquiao last 4-opponents

i think mayweather need to beat martinez to be #1 again
but that will be amazing if they make him p4p #1 again
i am sure Arum will get angry an pacquiao will agree to the RANDOM drug test

Adds nothing to his legacy, Ortiz is not an elite fighter as Pacquiao or Martinez is, he is not even the level bellow, e.g a Cotto or Margarito.

Mayweather has yet to step up and I doubt he ever will.

At this early it's funny to see a lotta stans who hype up Ortiz like he's an elite fighter just coz Floyd's fighting him, but not too long ago they **** on the man losing badly to Maidana.

Victor Ortiz is still young, in a few years we will truly know what it does for Mayweather's legacy.

Ortiz might very well become a champion again and have a great career, so we'll see.
