You know what's funny..sergio and his team they wanna fight Chavez jr like hes some elite fighter.. and they say it's so easy they will Knock him out. If it's that easy then why are you fighting him? I guess for the WBC belt but come on they say the same thing about manny and Floyd! That it's easy KO!i can already see it, people will say that he beat a way smaller fighter this that.that's why he should fight at 168 and fight ward froch bute Kessler!he wants to be p4p, He's not gonna be pound 4 pound fighting were he's at right now! Challenge yourself and fight at 168! Do you honestly think he is to SMALL? He's big! He started as a welterweight right?

Don't get me wrong I like what Martinez has done!

But Seriously if Martinez fought those guys at 168 I'd give him way more props! I doubt Floyd would ever fight him cause he'd say he's to big!

I put this to NSB a few months back, started a thread just like yours and i got laughed for suggesting Martinez fight at SMW instead of calling out May and Pac.

Turns out a few months later everyone is on the idea like its a STI-free hooker.

i wouldn't mind him going up to SMW, i think he is capable of being one of the top guys in the division, but i would love to see him try and unify the MW division first.

I think that he will actually go to 168, but not right now. At the moment he has the chance to beat Daniel Geale, Felix Sturm, Dimitri Pirog, etc. I would like the fight with Chavez Jr but that's almost impossible, Chavez Jr won't get in the ring with a boxer that would destroy him.

I think rather than looking at the size of his opponents he's looking at
1. Exposure from fighting them (floyd Manny and now Chavez)
2 the money they'd bring in
3. What they'll do to his P4P status (floyd and manny)
Id like to see how he'd fare against guys like kessler abraham dirrell I actually think he'd do ok.

Say what you willl about martinez but he's good for the sport.
