Mayweather vs Ortiz will do better PPV numbers than ANY of Pacs fights (EVER).

Mayweather will be paid more than Pac has (ever) for a fight.

Mayweather vs Ortiz fight itself means more to boxing than Pac vs Mosley, Pac vs Margarito, Pac vs Clottey. One could even argue Pac vs Cotto, Pac vs Hatton and Pac vs De La Hoya.

did anyone else see the lamont peterson fight?

i know he's a "champion" at WW, but has he ever fought at the WW limit? he won the belt on his first fight at welterweight, a catchweight at that.... that's fine... but the biggest thing for me is that he looked bad against lamont peterson just last december... i dunno if people should be excited about this... except for maybe the hardcore mayweather fans.

the berto fight wasn't at a catch weight so get your facts straight before you start criticizing

They're still attempting to justify Pac fighting JMM at WW when they already (rightfully) discredited Mayweather for doing the same exact thing. NOW they have this fight to discredit, who they will credit Pac when he selects to fight Ortiz next year (when he's not a champ). busy busy busy

I don't think Pacquiao vs Cotto was better, simply because Cotto's style was nothing for Manny, either way it was a good OPPONENT though.

But yea, *******s are backtracking right now, just a few weeks ago they were HAPPY about Pacquiao possibly fighting Ortiz and now Ortiz is all of a sudden **** since Mayweather if fighting him.

So wait a minute, Ortiz is better than Margarito who's been a top WW for around a decade?

Again, Ortiz was in no way a harder fight than Margarito but I do give props to Floyd for taking a fight against Ortiz apart from another WW opponent.
