Hollywood, California - Sitting in the hot-box that is his dressing room at the Wild Card, with about 15 reporters jammed into it, WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao was asked if he would like to tangle with Victor Ortiz, the new WBC champ.

"I don't know," he said. "He's a nice guy, also. And I like his attitude, he's humble person. I like a fighter like that."

Pacquiao was asked if he remembers the sparring session against Ortiz, which took place when Pacquiao was preparing to challenge lightweight champion David Diaz in June 2008 in Las Vegas; Pacquiao won via 9th-round technical knockout.

"Yeah," he said, laughing slightly and raising his eyebrows as if to suggest it was a rough one. "I was 135 fighting with David Diaz. It was good, he's strong. That's why I picked him to win the fight (against Andre Berto). I talked to Ortiz before the fight and gave him some advice that he can use for the fight."

Pac is not acting like he would roll over Ortiz like his fans keep yelling about Victor being too green for Manny.

Now you revert to humor and calling me a hater because you have nothing else to bring to the table. Check mate. For the record, Pac could have fought Berto instead of choosing Mosley. Berto had a title, was young and undefeated but he wasn't a big enough name. Pac ain't fighitng no one with a chance or ain't looking completely shot. Do I think Berto would beat Pac. Probably not but it is a better look than going after a man who got dominated in one fight and looked bad in the next.

Why would marquez ask for "extra" testing? Because some crack head said its a good idea? LMAO give me a break. Pac is tested before and after every fight he has, just like everyother boxer out there. Im shocked that jmm would choose to leave the steroid testing procedure to the dr's who do it for a living!!! U mean to tell me marquez DOESNT know more about steroids then the dr's who study them for years? marquez wants the third fight and in order to get it he had to drop the testing demand that he made awhile back. money talks. as far as mayweather.hell no marquez is no mayweather. thats why pac is fighting him.manny pacquiao wants no part of mayweather period.
