if they are the same size it should be no problem for pacquiao to make 135 and take marquez belts. i know its marquez chasing pacquiao and it would never happen but to me that would be more impressive and add to his legacy. if the extra weight really didnt matter and wasnt to pacquiaos advantage why wouldnt that be an option? it would obviously kill a welterweight to make 135 but marquez does it and if they are the same size pacquiao could do it too.
Manny could make 135 but why should he?
He is on the A-side as far as drawing power is concerned, the champ at WW and has already beaten Marquez?
I know most can't seem to process this, but in boxing, when you hold all the cards, then your opponent comes to you not the other way around.
If you disagree, please list 1 occcasion in which one fighter was the champ, as well as having more drawing power, fought another fighter and actually came to him? I've never seen it, so please enlighten me to when this has happenend in the history of the sport of boxing.
He chose Cotto over Mosley, which is way way the better choice. Pacquiao and Duck don't go together...he practically swept the elites in the welterweight division. Cotto, Margarito, Clottey and now Mosley. Guess what goes well with duck....yep.....his name is Floyd.
The new blood of welters just came out...Ortiz, Bradley....they will have their turn, just you wait....they need to make names for themselves. If Pac had fought them early, you would have said they were still raw.
Pacquiao and duck are 1 and the same. Dude has been ducking people for years even back at the lighter weights. Why didn't Wapakman fight Raheem, Guzman, Diaz, etc. Yeah if you're considered a threat Wapakman will only fight you if you got an ass whoppin recently or you're shop worn. He fights Cotto after Cotto was damaged by Margarito, fights an undeserving Clottey after he just lost to Cotto, fights a Mosley that looked like **** 2 fights prior. Wow that's impressive! Why was Yuri Foreman "too tall" but Margarito wasn't? You're too *******ed to reason with.
I just meant that haters like you can never be pleased. The fight that you haters want is Mayweather........but that will never happen. Floyd is on vacation afraid to risk his zero and Manny isn't exactly eager about it. Unless the President of the U.S. personally gets himself involve this fight will not happen.
Why watch Manny or get involved in discussions when you don't like the guy anyway? I'm just glad he is fighting, you don't have to waste your money on PPV if you don't like it. The real Pacfans, those who has been with him from the beginning feel that Pac already made his legacy in the featherweights, anything after that is just a big bonus. These are icings in the cake.......not the cake itself.
I never got that myself.
I mean it's obvious certain posters dislike Manny but constantly post about him?
Why cry about a fight being on PPV? You don't like it, simply don't order it as there are tons of free boxing bouts out there. Same with his opponent selection. If you don't like it, its a simple as not tuning in that night to watch it or not opening a link that discussses the bout.
Some of these dudes are just walking vaginas who b1tch and moan about everything.
I agree. I simply don't get why Bradley just won't take the fight. The Pacquiao fight will be a year away and let's say worst case scenario he loses to Amir; he could just fight a quick bout in the fall against Maidana, win that and get a shot at Manny.
Arum didn't have issues putting together Pacquiao vs Morales II after Erik lost to Raheem, and he didn't have any issues putting together Pacquiao vs Mosley after Shane lost to Floyd and drew with Mora.
We could even take it back further than that with Barrera losing to Jones but still getting the Morales fights.
Bottom line is Arum seems to like the Bradley vs Pacquiao bout alot and has a history of not scrapping plans even if a hiccup occurs during the way
e.g.
1. Judah vs Mayweather getting made even though Zab lost to Baldomir
2. Gamboa vs Lopez getting made (in the future) even though Lopez lost to Salido
**** I could go on and on, but I simply don't see how a loss to Khan would prevent Pac vs Bradley next year.

I think it might be because Manny Pacquiao is an All Time Great fighter and fans of Boxing might want to see him not in unlegit fights when he is atleast close to his peak?
For some people on this forum, this is their first era. Luckily enough for them tey have the like of Manny Pacquaio in it. And I'm quite sure they would prefer to see him in better fights whilst he is unquestionably #1 in the world. Thus why they complain. Add the facts some kids just starting watching Boxing literally in the last few years. There obviously going to complain.
Or some fans might just want to see him in legit fights in general. Fan's tend to want that.

And your too *****ish to understand. What could have happened to Pac's legacy if he had chosen Guzman or haha Raheem over Morales? Juan Diaz was not available, he was to fight Campbell and besides, Davis was already in line even before he fought the rematch with Marquez. Even if Juan Diaz won against Campbell, why would I pick him over grand cash cow DeLa Hoya?
