Vitali is certainly the dominant Heavyweight right now, but seriously, how good would he be if he were 6'3"- 225, instead of 6'8"-250? Would he still be a top ten Heavyweight?

I think so...
and the reason why is because, well, you see... they say the only reason that VK is winning so much is because he uses his height / weight etc to his advantage...
well it's his smarts in the ring that knows which strengths fit which scenarios..
If he were 6'1 or whatever, he would use his smarts to find what strengths he had with that body and use them for his advantages for each situation.
this is a mark of a true champion...
now i'm not saying that VK would be as dominant if this were the case, but he would be a good tough opponent and probably champion, as it is one of the marks of a true champion..

VK is a pretty good fighter that happens to be 6'8, 250. He uses his height to his advantage the same way that Byrd uses his reflexes, and Ruiz uses his affection.(Affectionate people like to hug)
How come there are no threads that say if Tyson didn't hit so hard?
Height is not everything, and he would still be pretty good at 6'3, 225. He woudl still be top 10.
Since I would bet that VK could beat any heavyweight right now, he could certainly beat every heavyweight that is taller than he is.
They always say the same thing about basketball players. Yao Ming would still be in the NBA if he was 6 inches smaller. Would be be as good, probably not, but he would still be better that the other guys that are that height, like Bradley, Smitts, and Ilgaskas.

When big guys are talented people say it's because they're big. When big guys suck, people say that it's because they're big and never had to learn the proper skills (think Manute Bol here). Point it that no matter what size a guy is he still needs to smarts to compete. People say Vitali is limited but why should he use any more skills than he has to when it works out so well for him?

He (Vitali) wouldn't be himself, now would he ?
What if Tommy Hearns was 5'9" welterweight ? Would he have dropped the one-twos on guys , like he did at 147 ?
