Wlad is a force, Peter an immovable object

First off I have to tip my hat to Wladimir Klitschko. He did everything he had to do to survive the walking tank he had been thrust into the ring with. He jabbed well, he threw sharp hooks and crisp straight right hands, and he moved to the side, NOT directly back like a good fighter. He also knew when and how to inititate a clinch (to throw Sam's rhythm and off and stop his momentum) and when to break it off before the ref became irritated. To be honest, if not for the illegal rabbit punching by Sam's part, the fight would look very one sided on the scorecards.

Also, he fought a very physical fight on the inside with a powerful young man as well as using constant movement and he was able to do this for a full 12 rounds. At his size, that is very respectable. I think we can safely say the stamina kinks have been worked out.

As for Peter, he displayed quite a chin in this fight. Wladimir has the best right hand since a young Lennox Lewis, and he caught Sam flush with it several times, only hurting him somewhat late in the fight when he was exhausted. His stamina needs work. Workrate needs to improve. Perhaps paramount to all these other things is straight punching. Where was it tonight? Not in Samuel Peter's aresenal, and that needs to change.

But he has power, he has strength, and he has a chin. I would still pick him over most of the guys out there, and he's only going to improve at 25 years of age.

Great fight though. I was watching it in a room with some girls who didn't know anything about boxing and they were all cheering Peter on with me. He's very likeable on top of everything else. My sig is staying. Samuel Peter is the goods; he just needs to mature. Give him three years and he'll be the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world.

I agree....Peter needs a little bit more work and he will be champ soon.

Peter is a tomato can that will be kicked around the ring IF he ever manages to recover and earn his way up to the level of Ruiz who will knock his wannabe tyson ass out.

Peter has a lot of solid attributes, but I don't think he'd lay a glove on guys like Toney and Byrd. He's so wide with his shots, and he telegraphs them like mad.

McBride would knock peter out, let alone a true champ like Ruiz.

Guys lauded for having great chins generally have sucky defense and soon find themselves on their asses as no fighter can last for long swallowing big punches at the highest levels for long.

Toney is too small and doesn't hit hard enough to keep Peter off. Wlad had the reach and quickness to keep him away and the strength to tie him up. Toney was outmuscled by Ruiz in every clinch and shoved away several times. I say Sam would ass**** Toney despite the skill difference. Too big, too strong, and too powerful.

Yeah, I was thinking that McBride and Peter should fight a good "elimination" fight if you can call it that as McBride should of never put in that position to begin with.
