I respect Mosley also because I would've done the same thing. He could've stayed down on the canvas in the third but he got up even tho you could tell he was seriously hurt and he made it to the final bell.
That takes skill and even more heart. 99.99% of the people here wouldn't of gotten up after getting hit harder than you've ever been hit and you know the other dude wasn't even trying.Last edited by Check_hooks; 05-12-2011, 11:28 PM.

Most people also thought that he would suffer his 1st ko loss.Well for being old & shot,he managed to survive 12 rounds against arguably boxing's best active fighter.Clearly no small feat for a shot 40 year old.He deserves some respect for that.He put up some kinda boxing something or other that actually frustrated Pacman.
I just can't find it inside me to blame Mosley for his performance. He wasn't gonna win & we all thought he'd get stopped. He didn't get stopped & he managed to frustrate arguably boxing's best fighter. That's some brave ****,Mosley I commend U.
How can you not bash Shane? He put on one of the most pathetic performances i have ever seen. It was truely a disgrace to watch. Shane didn't even try to win the fight. Shane is a world class fighter yet he didn't go out like one. As a world class fighter I expect you to atleast TRY or give an effort in the fight. He did neither of those. If he knew he couldn't compete at this level of boxing he should have never got in the ring with Manny in the first place. People are paying hard earned money to watch a fight and Shane didn't want to fight.

He talked about Shane's body language and said that he read it as submission to Manny, like he wanted to be his friend to avoid taking a pounding. It kinda worked...

When boxing fans pay money to watch Boxing match, they expect to see an action pact Boxing match, but when you see a sample of the so called slick african-american boxer fighting Pacman, getting hit and going down in the 3rd, and went up, but was never the same again, then you can't blame fans of booeing Shane whose Name suddenly becomes shame!
I think in some way he deserve a respect cos his performance was much better than Williams who was KO'd in 2nd round!
Bernard Hopkins who castigated Pacman for not fighting African-American Boxer should speak up about the performance of these so called slick african-american boxer e****ially his good friend Shane.

I agree the effort from Mosley was poor but I have 2 contributing factors for it.
1) Age - he is clearly shot to ****
2) Exactly how pac called it after the fight - Shane felt the power when he was put on his a** and wanted none of it. Think of it from Shanes point of view, he probably went in thinking if I land like I did on Mayweather Pacs going to eat some canvas. However when you look at his face when he was on the floor he was clearly shocked at the impact of pacs punches. Now for someone who has clearly struggled getting shots off for some time (those shaky old hands) the impact of that KD would be quite substantial. The fear of throwing and getting countered had him running and surviving the rest of the fight. I think if Pac hadn't put him down that early I think Pac would have got him out later on once Shane gassed.
With the above being my view of it, can I blame Shame, absolutely not. He found out for sure early that he didn't have the tools for the job and I'd challenged anyone in that position not to go into survival mode. It's natural instinct that kicks in. Nothing to do with being a fix, or another payday. Just one of those things. I'm not a pro boxer myself but I dare say any boxer would agree.....
