peple who say "oh shane landed more on floyd.go by percentage
look at the fight percentage and see who dominated more..numbers dont like people....sure mannys hits harder..but floyds was more accurate and took less percentages of the shots in his fight
shane didnt win a single round vs pac...shane won 2 rounds with floyd.....shane did'nt get kd'd by floyd...shane got dropped by pac......shane wobbled floyd...shane could'nt hurt pac...FACT....
true..but ALOT of manny shots wernt landing either..hed throw 5 and land 1 clean blow..but it would be a hard shot
thats because mosley fought him like Manny was a giant. He kept backing up when Manny tried to engage him.
I posted this earlier.
"Mosley fought both opponents differently. Mosley was clearly on the offensive against floyd, but was almost entirely defensive against manny.
Mosley consistently moved forward against floyd, thus making it easier for floyd to counter. Floyd didnt seem intimidated by shanes power, and was reluctantly caught twice by two big power shots. Yet floyd remained confident and stuck to his game plan. His speed noticeably outmatched shanes and was able to counter him effectively. At the same time, Mosley stood in front of floyd, coming forward, twitching, trying to find a power punch to land.
1 year later, Manny had mosley backing up the entire time. Mosley couldnt step into Mannys reach, and found himself taking at least 3 steps back when Manny countered with a flurry of punches. The 1st knockdown was a good example. After that KD, shane almost refused throw more than 2 punches in the pocket.
Who was more impressive? honestly, Mosley fought both guys differently. Mosley barely landed anything effective against Manny, and fought Manny thinking Manny was 7ft tall 280lbs. Floyd stuck to his gameplan and effectively outboxed mosley, who was willing to box in the first place. Mosley took more risks against floyd and stayed in the pocket more compared to fighting Manny. He had small success in the earlier rounds against floyd, and zero success against Manny. Just watch both fights, you decide."
It doesn't really matter. The outcome was the same, and Shane looked visibly more hurt than he was in the Floyd fight and was knocked down for the 1st time in YEARS. History isn't going to remember punch % stats, as they don't with a fight like Leonard vs Hagler which was a really close fight and till this day still up for debate. I don't see people throwing punch % stats for that, because nobody really cares.
