Damn. So surreal, as it always is when a familiar fighter suffers this same fate as Levander.

I saw him fight in A.C. (where he's from), back when he was just
starting his pro career. I remember when he one-punch KO'd Sharmba Mitchell, & when he had Miguel Angel Gonzalez beaten, before fading & getting TKO'd. He had great potential, & was always very exciting.

It's so sad, to know this happened to him. Every fighter knows the risk of stepping up into that ring, but it's still a horrible shock when it's right there....for everyone to see.

For every overpaid superstar athlete, there are athletes like Levander out there, scrapping along.....for $$$ that doesn't really match the risk. Doing what he did, because he loved what he did... & always dreamed of making an impact.

        R.I.P Levander Johnson.

My thoughts are very much with Jesus Chavez, as well. He has a dream, too....A dream he's not done fulfilling, but one that may be unable to obtain because of the natural guilt he will forever feel.

R.I.P Levander - I grieve with his family. This is terrible news - Hope God watches over his family, Chavez and Mr. Weeks. B4 anyone puts blame on Mr. Weeks - they should look to his corner, no one knows u better than the people in ure corner. God bless.

Might be a good idea for each of us to donate some cheddar to the fund that they're setting up for his family. No details yet but as soon as I see some, I'll post them up if someone doesn't beat me to it.

I for one dont blame the Referee. Just months ago he saved castillio from getting huge damage and he got butt****ed for it. Poor guy dont want to lose his job and this is what he has to do.

Those that are to blame is his corner. But even then it was hard, the guy was clear minded and didnt have any signs of internal damage.
It's very sad but that's the sport we love.

I blame the corner way more than the ref, but if the ref wants his job more than saving someone's life, then that ref can go **** himself.
