I believe Floyd got his court dates pushed to September, hopefully this means he is looking for a fight, Ortiz isn't a bad choice, but he's not ready, not sure he ever would be. But its better than spadafora or guerrero. I think he was at that fight to fight the winner who he thought would be Berto

Ortiz shouldn't win, but he'd be an excellent aggressive-southpaw workout for Floyd Jr.

Anything under 147 is not good for Ortiz now and at 147 he would be too dangerous for Pac at this point , once you go up and train its not the same going down again because some weight sticks ,, why do you think Manny wants 147 for JMM , why not 140 , after all its only a few pounds Manny can make it easy , you fellas dont understand weight , thats why you dont understand what Manny is doing , Roach is very smart at matching his star pupil

Stop being such a cry baby fanboy and realise that a FMJ vs Victor Ortiz fight makes alot of sense, and provided Floyd wins it's the perfect warmup for a MP fight.......provided Manny accepts OST and is reasonable on the money front.....
Stop being a Mayweather Fanboy and realize He is terrified of the Pacman and was ran out of boxing.

Honestly i could envision it selling 1.5 million PPv's. Mexican fighters sell well, especially when they are facing good opposition. Mexican fans might not particularly like Floyd, but as boxing aficionados i'm quite sure they respect his skills.
Exactly....An Ortiz fight would sell like hotcakes.

Additionally Floyd always gets hit good at least a few times when he fights a good SP....Vic has alot of power....you never know, we might see someone knock Floyd down for an 8 count officially.
              C'mon now...

Ortiz couldn't even finish off Berto's cub fighting ass.
His power is good but nothing to write home about.

Vic has no jab or head movement...Floyd's right hands would have him spinning around like a figure skater.

That's a bit of an exaggeration. Ortiz also isn't heralded even as high as JMM as far as the Mexican community is concerned, and his fight with Floyd sold just about 1 mill ppv's. Ortiz IMO hasn't done enough for this fight to be promoted as this "Great Matchup" that's going to sell through the roof.
