Firstly, did it ever occur to you that the fact that Manny has not fought Mayweather yet, and the fact that Mayweather does not match the list of disadvantages that cloud Manny's last 8 opponents..... may not just be a coincidence

Secondly, nope, he agreed to fight Manny.

He agreed to 50/50 then he agreed to a $10mil penalty then he waited for Manny to agree to random blood tests.

    Still waiting.....

*** knows what vacationer has been doing since then, but it is more likely that both him and his uncle's legal problems have more to do with his disinterest in boxing than the rubbish you would prefer to believe

Cotto and Hatton were both cracked eggs, and ripe for the picking.

      Cotto, post 600.....

Hatton, and the rest of Pac's last 7 opponents, post 648

And, Marquez won - at least - the second fight. I would like to be able to say that is just my humble opinion, but that is not just my humble opinion most observers had Marquez edging that fight.

As I said earlier, Ortiz is the polar-opposite of Pac's last 8 opponents.

Ortiz is in his prime, he is coming off a great win, and he is clearly the #3 welter..... I am sure that fight will never happen.

The key indicator is, that Ortiz is on top of his game, that factor simply cannot be applied to ANY of Pac's last 8 opponents (incl Mosley).

How can Berto be ready, but Ortiz not ?

No, I simply will never agree with you on that one.

According to Arum, Berto was ready, so how could Ortiz not be ready ?

He is CLEARLY the #3 welter, in his prime, and on top of his game.

There is simply no more suitable opponent for Pacquiao or Mayweather than the #3 welter, who is in his prime, on top of his game, and coming off a great win.

If you disagree, then name a more suitable opponent. And bro, no exhibition match's or catch-weight's please.
I don't ever remember Arum saying Berto was ready??I think I remember him bashing Berto for lack of resume and saying he has not done anything since he has had the belt..Did'int Arum and Lue go back in forth in a thread right here on B.S.??Berto was not ready and neither is Ortiz, and personally I've been saying I don't want Berto to get a shot so how can I sing another tune with some less challenged at WW??This was vic's first fight at WW,before this he fought to a draw with Peterson(hope you did not forget that because there was no mention of it in ya post)beat up two over the hill fighters(are you not bashing Pac for the same thing??)..Before that was made to quit by a very limited fighter(who the weak chinned Khan beat handle over 12 rds)who went to war with a old Morales..Ortiz had a good win but lets not over do it,Ortiz is not ready for Pac period..

As for Cotto Hatton, they both put their names on the dotted line did they not??I don't see you breaking down Mayweathers last opponent, let's try shall we..Hatton was made to fight Mayweather at 147lb where he looked like **** vs Collazo..How good was that win??Not to mention Cotto was right there and coming off a win over Shane, that fight should have happen but May chose to fight Hatton who by the skin of his teeth beat Collazo..JMM was his next fight were he made him come up to career high 144lb,he did not bother to make(the agreed upon weight, which means he cheated)weight and fought a LW..Next up Mosley, who was coming off the longest layoff of his career and had two do two training camps..Not to mention had to do the dumbazz OST..Not to mention Judah coming off a lose he fights LMAO..

I hate talking about these two fighters because in reality I don't feel this way about May or Pac I think both are ATG fighters and have done a great deal for the sport..This is not the subject at hand either..Point is Ortiz is unproven and I don't care where they rank him(by the way ranking him num 2 or 3 is clearly ****** after only one fight at WW when he was not ranked previously)he has not done enough at the weight(let alone)or his career to be mention in the same breath with Pac..You know who deserves a shot at Pac JMM if anybody out of GBP should get a shot it's him not Ortiz..I had Pac winning both fights but they were damn close..And unlike Ortiz last two yrs JMM has been winning and winning impressively..

Option #2 is clearly the best decision.

        Let's go Pac

        /thread
The thing is with num 1 I said if Berto does not want it,he could fight Jones or Karass..No mention of that??Is it because with no jab to speak of he just might lose to either fighter??You making me sound like I don't like Ortiz here and that's not the case..I want him to challenge himself to prove he belongs at the top..You just wanna throw him at the top with out having prove much at all..I hope this does not happen..It will be injustice to himself and the fans imo..

Berto was shortlisted by Bob Arum.....
Mosley, JMM, Berto, were the options that Arum presented to Manny.

Obviously, if Berto was qualified, then so is Ortiz.

If baffles me why you guys don't want Vic anywhere near Manny

All of you are just so overly concerned for Vic's welfare ?

          I don't think so

FACT: Ortiz has a better resume now, than Berto had then
FACT: The best opponent for the #1 and #2 welter's, is the #3

I would like you to name just one opponent, who is more deserving than Ortiz, to land a Pacquiao or Mayweather fight.

Neither Jones nor Karass are on Ortiz's level.

Why should he take a ridiculous step backward like that ?

He is CLEARLY the #3 welter, he is in his prime, and he is on top of his game..... sorry bud, but according to Pac's recent resume, Ortiz would be a step up for him..... the "new" and "improved" Pacquiao, has never fought anybody like that. If you disagree, name one opponent.

Also, name one opponent who is more deserving than Ortiz, to land a Pacquiao or Mayweather fight.

Why dont just say that you want JMM or Floyd to fight Pac so that we dont have to read the 10000 word drivel that you been spewing in this forum. Just say it. You want Floyd and JMM (especially JMM) to fight Pac.

From what I can remember Arum said Berto was at the bottom of the list,if that is so that means JMM is next in line..Not Ortiz right??That answers ya question??JMM should be Mannys next fight..

I'm not worried at all for anybody's safety in boxing dude, but I don't like undeserving fighters getting shot's at big money over a fighter(JMM)who has earned the right to be in that fight..Ortiz has a better Resume then Berto had hmm let me think about it..Maybe but not by much and I won't be forgetting Ortiz quit so fast either..Like I said he answer some questions but I have ton's more..And fighters like Karass and Jones are just the fighters to get those answers out of him..

LMFAO..What level do you believe Ortiz to be on??Because Berto never tested himself and fought either of those fighters so what makes you believe Ortiz or Berto is on another level..Think before you write my dude,Ortiz fought to a draw with Peterson my man..A career Jr WW and the smaller man,you know why??Go back and watch again, the jab was a big factor in that loss homie..What did Berto lack??You guessed it a Jab!!!Stop overrating Ortiz for your own gain..Ortiz imo is not even the #3 WW,I would put another belt holder who's been fight at the weight before him..

Fighting guys like Jones and or Karass is not a step back,it's a step in the right direction bro..

What the hell are you talking about ?

                      Of course I want Pacquiao/Mayweather.

That fight is a no-brainer, and has been in the works for the last 2 years.

And I have ABSOLUTELY NO INTEREST AT ALL in Pac/JMM, if that fight is at 147.
