Comments Thread For: De La Hoya: McCloskey Deserves Rematch, But Not Now

Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya admitted that Paul McCloskey deserves another shot at WBA 140-pound champion Amir Khan. Last Saturday at the MEN Arena in Manchester, the fight was stopped in the sixth round after a clash of heads opened up a cut above the left eye of McCloskey. The ringside doctor stopped the fight and Khan won a six round technical decision.

Mccloskey?? Oscar better not b kidding but Mccloskey didnt do S** in that fight he was just trying to avoid shots and throw like 10 punches a round and win the fight!! WHAT??!! i was sooo disappointed in this fight cuz i dont blame this on Amir cuz he was the one pushing the fight and this Mccloskey idiot was just trying to make khan miss and.......THATS IT!!!! i would have rather seen Amir fight Prescott and that would have being a more intriguing match up given he KO'd Amir..and belive me everyone knows who the hell Prescott is in the UK!! i bet the Queen knows hes name too!! it would have being a interesting match up than this Mccloskey guy..WHO THE F*** IS McCloskey!!!!?????

Paul lost every round on every scorecard. On top of that, the bout wasn't really entertaining. I don't know who would want to see a rematch.

                Get real!
                The fight was so boring!
It wasn't even a tune up fight, it was a mismatched sparing session!

I'm not really that interested in Amir Kahn. Seems like he may have hit his peak early. Guess will see when he fights Bradley how good he really is but I'm not so impressed.

if that was barry hearn sitting there giving that "winners speech" he would have said a rematch was already in the making as this result was unfair.
plain and simple, oscar is a greedy little ****.
im glad pacman bashed him up.
i would truly love to hose down mrs de le hoya with my juice though, anyone wanna join the bukkake party?
