So Salido Tested Postive For Nandrolone

After the Guerrero fight but then took another test and he tested negative for any steroids. And apparently, Nandrolone is present in human bodies in minute quan******. The second test was enough for the commission to over turn the disqualification to no contest.

So then why are people bringing this up?

You must be pretty thick to use nandrolone as an athlete, since it can be detected for up to 18 months after you stop using it.

I know nothing about this, but if the B-test was negative then I don't think he cheated.

He was suspended so i think the 1st test was valid.

Omar Nino also tested positive for meth.

I assume this post is for me.

All i remember about Salido is. he went 12 with JMM and tested positive for illegal substance.
            i got this from boxrec

Salido tested positive for the steroid; result changed to ND per NSAC 467.850(6)

Omar Nino tested positive for Meth

'Romero failed post fight drug test.'

Both fights were changed to NC indicating that the two are indeed positive for illegal substance.

Not the way it happened, Salido protested the result after taking a second test and getting a lawyer in which the second test resulted in being negative for any banned substances. Because of that, it was changed to a no contest from a No decision.

Two days after scoring the biggest win of his career, Salido’s post-fight urinalysis, as conducted by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, tested positive for the banned steroid Nandrolone. The result of the bout was changed to a no decision, and Salido’s title was stripped. Salido had a follow-up test taken at the nationally known blood lab LabCorp, which found him negative of any steroids. It should be noted that Nandrolone is an anabolic steroid that may be present naturally in the human body in minute quan******. “I said I never took steroids or any performance-enhancing drugs and the lab tests prove it,” Salido was quoted as saying by the SportingLife.com after the second test.

Im not attacking Salido here mate. but boxrec says

                  NC ND 12 12

If Salido was successful in convincing the commision then the record will show a "W" for Salido. Its still a No Contest w/c means the commision thinks that Salido is guilty of illegal substance.

Just how i interpret it. Salido wasnt successfull in reverting the decision.

yeah the commission has never been keen on overturning even when it should be done.
