If you look at the stoppage in the context of the preceeding 15s, it is a bit weak. JuanMa was rocked badly but still upright and still throwing back, even if his punches had nothing on them.
However, in the context of the fight, it was a very good stoppage. For several rounds, JuanMa's head movement (what little there was to begin with) had evaporated. Salido's accuracy was getting higher and higher and JuanMa was a sitting duck, eating solid power punch after solid power punch. He had, overall, lost the ability to defend himself. Just because he was attempting to punch and still on two feet does not mean he was in much of a position to continue. The KO was looking inevitable and Salido was looking very, very strong.
If you fight without a guard and without head movement, you're just inviting the referee to stop the fight as soon as you lose your reflexes and your ability to hurt your opponent. Both were long gone for JuanMa.
