So, is it safe to say that Victor Ortiz does indeed have "heart"?

Big props to both Ortiz and Berto for a great fight. Both fought their heart out although it was Ortiz who ended up getting better during the fight.

Has Ortiz finally proved his critics wrong?

he learned from his mistake...props to Ortiz.

He needs to redefine and sharpen up his skills...

hell yeah he does. That six round really proved it. I was literally screaming at the TV telling Victor to clinch but he almost seemed like he would rather **** it out, like he wanted to prove that he had heart. He was so close to getting knocked out when he dropped Berto which made it that much more epic.

He showed great heart and determination, but I'm not ready to say he does, I want to wait.

it's his own fault he had to redeem himself. He should never have lost to a guy like Maidana in the first place. I'm a big fan of Vic. He could be a VERY BIG STAR in this sport. He is mexican first and foremost, but even more than that he has POWER and that's what people will pay to see. They want KO's and big punches.
If he rematches Maidana he stops him.

nah man, I think ortiz had to go through both the loss to maidana and the draw with peterson to get the viciousness out of him.

I see him as a better fighter with the loss and draw than without it.

on that note... YEAH **** BERTO!!!
