    to me its an old fight. duran vs. hearns..it was supposed to be competitive....but hearns beat the "great" duran like a little beeatch...knocked him unconscious in the 2nd round.

      The final answer to the question asked in this thread is Duran quitting to Leonard in 1980. Duran was a legend before his first fight with Leonard which he won in a grueling war. Then, to quit in a rematch with Leonard 6 months later was the ultimate embarrassment to a big name fighter ever! ****, they wouldn't even let him back in his home country for a while after that!!
