Morales is wrong... Marquez is by far the torch bearer of Mexico in boxing... He has been a fixture among the best for yrs. Morales lost his step when Pacquiao broke him down yrs ago... Marquez survived his fights with Pac to this day and has people thinking Pacman still has to see him again.

Saul Alvarez is the face of Mexico's future in boxing... Marquez is the present and past.

Morales deserves more credit for fighting Maidana than Marquez does for fighting Zab Judah. The only two guys you can say that are elite that Marquez has fought his whole career are Mayweather and Pacquiao.

I'm not saying Maidana is some world beater just because he gave Amir Khan hell. But why is it that Barrera is fighting Brandon Rios and Morales is fighting Maidana while JMM takes a fight with an overrated Zab Judah and people condone that crap? It's JMM that should be fighting the guys Barrera and Morales is fighting.

There for a while I liked JMM the most out of the three, but not anymore though. All he has done is piggy back off the notoriety he gained from the Pacquiao fights and he never fights any other good fighters. Zab Judah isn't a good fighter in my view. Maidana and Rios are better than Judah is and that's my problem.

He might have had the bigger draw but Marquez was/is far superior in technique then both Barrera and Morales and would have beat him.

What's with the Marquez hate? How can you hate this guy, he's an entertaining and one of the most technically gifted fighter today. It's sad that Morales has to boast about his popularity, its obvious that he's doing so because Marquez has been up in the p4p list for so long. Marquez or Maidana, Morales is done.

I guess I'm in the minority. I've got nothing bad to say about Morales or Marquez (or Barrera for that matter). All great warriors who have given us great fights.

Marquez, Morales, Barrera; in order of greatness.

When HBO made Prince Naseem their draw, thus protecting their interest, they accurately (along with other experts/Hamed's representatives) chose Barrera the lesser risk of the three. Barrera siezed the opportunity and should be best remembered as having the style to make for great fights with Morales. But, when he had the chance with Marquez he chose not to engage, Marquez clearly beat him.
Morales definitely the most exciting of the three had the opportunity to fight Marquez (when both were in their prime) and passed, although that probably had more to do with Arum than Morales.
Marquez is proof that the cream always rises to the top. Hopefully, Marquez will get his (and this fight fan's) wish and fight Pacquiao a third and fourth fight. One thing is for sure; whether Morales wins/loses to Maidana, we will have Marquez vs Morales, it is inevitable.

Marquez is responsible for a fight with Morales never happening.Just like he turned down offers to fight Naseem Hamed and an immediate rematch with Pacquiao,Marquez turned down a million and a half to fight Morales in 2005.

And no,Marquez did not clearly beat Barrera.

Marquez beat a post-HGH Pacquiao, twice

                    You're an idiot.

Pac/Marquez I happened first before the Pac/Morales I. Do your research first before you take a shot at Pacquiao, moron...
